We were all in the training room now, with Theo and Arthur already in a fighting stance.
After Arthur was asked what the test was he said that they should play a game, They were to both ring a bell and then grab a ring that was hung very far away at the end of the training room and to get there they would have to try to defeat themselves and some other barriers and the only rule is that they mustn't use any weapon against one another only their fist and vampire ability is allowed.
At the sound of the whistle they started running towards the ring while we kept on praising them,the first barrier was eight burning furnace coming out of the ground arranged four each on every row, Arthur and theo quickly used their super speed to pass the fire and kept on running.
They reached the second barrier which was four burning rings,Theo tried to go first but he got injured and Fiona flinched where she was
"he is going to be fine Fiona,he is doing this for you guys"I said and she nodded so I focused back on the field, Arthur and theo continued running and jumping from one ring to another and they were finally at the last barrier,they both climbed the rope provided for them and crawled through the iron net and when they got to the end they each grabbed their ropes and tried to ring the bell before grabbing the ring but Theo mistakingly lost his hold on the rope and started falling so Arthur quickly grabbed the ring and swung his body so he could catch Theo and as he did so they jumped to the floor and Theo lay on the ground so Fiona quickly ran to meet him and I followed her "you won"Arthur said
"what?"Theo asked
"you tried really well so you got the ring"Arthur said and Theo looked at his hand to see the ring on his palm "how? I thought you got the ring?"Theo asked confused and shocked at the same time and I must say I was too
"yes but you deserve it more and you deserve my sister"Arthur said and we smiled
"but how did I get the ring? you were.... I was..."Theo said but trailed off confused
"when you were falling and I had grabbed you I quickly slipped the ring into your palm"Arthur said and they both hugged
"come on baby let's go"Arthur said patting Theo's head before he grabbed my waist and I smiled as I left with him.
We got into our room (formerly his room) and he went to take his bath, I was feeling bored so I decided to go through some things on his table, reading some files and paperworks when I came across something on his table and I picked it up,it was a white envelope which had 'TO THE PRINCE"on it and so I opened it not caring if I was invading his privacy and I saw a small paper in it so I read it
"prince Arthur we still stand on the fact that you would not be able to lead this kingdom because of the many atrocities you have committed so the position would be given to Ryan, from the elders"I read and all I could see was red I was really angry as I wondered why Arthur would be prevented from being king, wasn't it his right?
I heard the shower turn off and Arthur came out with a towel tied loosely around his waist
"ruby what's wrong?"he asked when he saw my face
"who have been threatening you with the throne?"I asked and he frowned immediately
"no one"he said immediately
"do not lie to me Arthur this letter says it all"I said holding it up for him to see
"fine the elders"he said
"but why? what atrocities have you committed?"I asked
"I did a lot of things when I accepted my monster ruby"he said
"didn't you explain it to them?"I asked "I tried ruby but they refused to agree and they said Adam couldn't become king also"he said
"when is your next meeting?"I asked "tomorrow,why do you ask?"he asked "we would go together"I said and went to sit on the bed
"what!no ruby you won't"he said
"try me"I said still with a frown "please that place isn't a place for women and you are pregnant"he said "I am your wife okay I have to help you and I promise nothing would happen to me"I said and he nodded and put his forehead on mine
"I love you so much"he said "and I love you more"I said and he kissed me.
