I woke up from my sleep and there was a slight knock on the door "come in"I said and my aunt came inside
"it's time"she said and I looked nervous
"it's okay ruby you can do this just go take a shower and by the time you've done that you would be fine"she said and gave me a peck on my forehead
"thanks aunt"I said taking a huge sigh
"I'll be waiting outside"she said and left the room.
I entered the bathroom and took a quick nice shower before coming out of the bathroom to see a nice armour on my bed so I quickly put it on and looked into the mirror, I looked nothing like what I was two years ago, I was an entirely different person
"it's time for me to prove myself to my mate and those people that underestimated me"I said my face void of any emotions before I walked outside of my room to see aunt Karen waiting for me by the door
"I'm all set aunt"I said
"just go for it my love"she said and led me to a podium were a man was
"and here comes the graduant ruby"he said and everyone clapped
"so ruby are you ready for whatever happens tonight"he asked
"yes"I said my voice and face void of any emotions
"I will start by asking you questions"he said and I nodded
"tell me one of lord Absalom's powers?"he asked
"he could suck blood with his claws as well as his fangs"I said
"correct"he said and everyone clapped while my dad gave me a thumbs up,one after the other he asked me questions about all the realms and I answered him correctly.
When I was done he pressed a button and everywhere changed to a fighting arena and I was in the middle
"you would be fighting some vampires without any weapons but you are allowed to use your powers as they will be using theirs so good luck"he said and left and immediately seven vampires came, they were huge and scary but I knew that master Archibald's hard work on me won't be in vain.
They started surrounding me while cracking their knuckles but I wasn't scared instead I was waiting for any sign of attack,one of them lunged at me very quickly and dragged me by my leg and hit me on the ground with force and I hissed in pain, I stood up and got into a defensive position again and Brenda was struggling to come out but I wouldn't let her,one of them tried to hold my neck but I bent down grabbed his and twisted it
"they asked you to use your powers so let me out"she said
"no Brenda I don't trust you"I said defending myself as they attacked me
"but we won't win and they are also using their monsters"she said as one of them tried to hold my neck and just like magic Brenda pushed me to the back and took control before using her long nails to cut off four of his fingers
"oh you did not just do that"I said
"I just did so sit down there and learn how to deal with enemies"she said and started using her vampire speed to surround them,she grabbed one of them by the leg and flung him away then she held two of the vampires by the head and hit their faces together.
By the time she was done everyone had a terrified expression on their faces and then she put me back in control
"now that is what I call a fight"she said
"oh shut up I could have fought them without your help"I said
"you know that's a lie"she said
"now you've won this one let's move to the other"the man said recovering from his shock but still with a terrified expression on his face,he pressed another button and everywhere changed to a dark room the only light came from eight rings of fire in the middle of the room
"welcome to the rings of fire"he said and everyone gasped, there were eight rings with fire burning on them
"you have to pass each rings but you must not have a single burn so good luck"he said "can I use my powers?"I asked
"of course"he said and left and I took a deep breath before I walked up to it.
Although I was a hybrid I had some other powers...... powers that I discovered on my own but told only master Archibald and so now that I was faced with a challenge like this it was time to bring them to use, I used my water power to cover myself and then I passed them jumping and twirling when needed and when I got to the last one I lost my balance and almost fell but I called on the wind and passed the last one safely and I won again, some other tests were given to me but we still passed.
I went to the bathroom at the end of the tests and the last person I wanted to see came in
"you did well out there"he said resting on the door arms crossed but I didn't reply but continued what I was doing silently
"I'm talking to you ruby"he said
"and I don't want to talk to you the last time I checked I don't remember inviting you into my room not to talk of my bathroom"I said
"well I'm the prince I can go to wherever I wish to go whenever I wish"he said and I rolled my eyes
"I only love the strategies you used in winning the tests"he said
"well thanks now get out of my room"I said rudely
"I am your prince ruby show me some respect"he said
"you deserve not only respect but also a bucket load of shit"I said angrily before dropping the hand towel and facing him and he clenched his teeth angrily
"why are you even here?"I asked crossing my arms on my chest
"I want to talk to you"he said
"then make it fast because I am tired and your presence isn't making it any better"I said
"how come you changed a lot in just two years?"he asked
"meaning ?"I asked raising up an eyebrow
"weren't you the silly human I caught two years ago, tell me what were you doing at the ball "he said
"why do you want to know?"I asked coming closer
"well I did you a favor that day, you could have been killed if another vamp had caught you"he said
"favor? what a joke"I said as I left him in my room, what was even his stress, I was trying to do as he requested so he shouldn't make it worse.
