We all went to eat breakfast with what Fiona said still fresh in my mind, when we settled down I decided to ask Arthur about it
"Arthur"I called and he looked at me
"yes love"he said with a smile
"is there anyone in the cell with the name Philip?"I asked
"did Fiona tell you that"he said frowning
"yes"I said
"then why are you asking me that?"he asked
"I want you to release him"I said
"no"he said
"what is the use of leaving him in the cell, fiona has found her mate just that you don't know him yet"I said
"well that doesn't still mean anything to me"he said
"Arthur don't be wicked, you assured me you've changed and I'm sure this isn't the behavior of someone who has changed"I said and it looked like my word had sunk into his head
"I know you're trying to protect your sister but at least let her be able to decide what she wants for herself"I said and everyone nodded
"fine you can go release him I'm off to meet the elders"he said and started leaving
"aren't you going to eat something?"I asked
"I'm not hungry anymore"he said and left, I turned to look at fiona who was smiling at me and I smiled back.
we all ate our dinner in silence before I left with Fiona to the palace cell,we entered different hallways before we met two palace guards at the front door guarding it
"we need to go in"Fiona said
"I'm sorry princess but you know you aren't allowed Into this part of the Palace"one of the guards said
"but Arthur granted us permission to come here"I said
"but....."the other one said
"no buts now open it for us or we'll tell Arthur you disobeyed his orders and you know what that means"I said and they opened the heavy double door and we both walked in, there were thousands of cells in this place and everywhere stunk but with the help of another guard in this place we were showed to Philip's cell, we opened it to see a man sitting on a Chair In the room with his face in his palm
"Philip"Fiona said and he looked up at her
"Fiona"he said shocked to see her
"Philip how are you?"fiona asked and wiped a few tears I didn't know she had on her face away
"how do you think I would feel Fiona"he said looking at her intently
"I'm sorry for causing you so much pain Philip"she said now crying
"why should you be sorry it wasn't your fault, you weren't the one that put me here"he said
"I still feel sorry all the same"Fiona said and I cleared my throat which made them look at me
"oh I'm sorry for not introducing, this is Ruby my brother's mate" fiona said
"nice to meet you"he said and I smiled
"well you've been released"I said and he laughed
"look ruby don't lie to me, I've been here for almost a century and I have never received a sign that I was going to be released"he said
"but now you are free"I said
"are you sure Ruby?"he said
"of course why would I lie to you" I said and he smiled and jumped up "then what am I waiting for let's go at once"he said and we left we took him into a room to rest for some time before we come back to talk to him.
Fiona and I went to have lunch before we returned with some food for him and I left fiona to go meet him while I waited at the doorstep for them
"I brought you food"she said
"oh thanks"he said and she started leaving but he held her hand which made her look back at him
"thanks"he said
"no problem"she said
"do we still have a hope of having our future together"he said and she cleared her throat
"no Philip I've found my mate"Fiona said and he immediately released her "oh I'm sorry"he said
"it's okay"Fiona said and started leaving again
"Wait"he said and she stopped and turned to face him again
"I want to leave here, I want to go into the human realm"he said
"Alright I'll help you talk to my dad"fiona said and left the room with me
"I'm just glad he is okay"Fiona said and we went into her room and the next day Philip was allowed to leave.
