Fiona and I were leaving back to the vampire realm a week after we kidnapped Carl and lucy
"would you guys come visit us"Theo asked
"we'll try to visit anytime we have a chance"I said
"I'll miss you so much Fiona"Theo said engulfing her in a hug
"don't worry I'll make sure we see each other again,we will just be a realm away from each other"Fiona said before giving him a kiss and my mind drifted to Arthur and I felt a little bit jealous but I forgot about it anyway,we bade them our final goodbye and left In my car to the vampire realm.
We arrived the following day at the palace and we were welcomed by Adam
"how was your trip?"he asked
"good"we said and the maids at the door took our bags and I started walking upstairs when Adam stopped me
"I want to speak with you"he said
"about what?"I asked while going to meet him and took him to a quiet place
"what's wrong?"I asked
"it's Arthur?"he said worriedly
"what happened to him?"I asked again this time with concern
"he hasn't been himself ever since he returned from the human realm and my fear is that he has accepted his monster and now it has taken control over him"he said very scared
"what did you notice?"I asked because I knew I was the cause of this
"he has kept to himself and he gets angry easily at the slightest thing and I'm afraid he is becoming someone terrible"he said
"oh no"I said
"we have to do something infact you have to do something only you understands him, you are his mate"he said and I sighed,how I wish he knew that Arthur and I weren't as close as it seemed
"Adam...."I said
"you have to do something ruby I'm gradually losing my brother"he said,he sounded really broken unlike the happy Adam I knew , the way he sounded really scared me to the core and even though I was scared of what he was saying I felt the need to help
"is it safe for me to talk to him?"I asked
"no it isn't give him some days"he said and I nodded before giving him a tight hug to comfort him a little before he left, I couldn't believe that Arthur could accept his monster.
I arrived at my room and everything was still intact, I took a brief shower and rested for a while before dinner.
I walked downstairs for dinner and sat down shortly after everyone came
"my lovely ruby"queen Avery said and hugged me and I smiled
"I missed my warrior"king Alex said and pecked my forehead before sitting down, we were served lot of food as usual and everyone began eating but I noticed that Arthur and uncle Logan were not at the dining table
"where's uncle Logan and Arthur?"I asked
"uncle Logan travelled to see a witch In California and Arthur I don't know he left early this morning"Adam said and just then Arthur walked in with blood stains on his body,he didn't even spare us a glance as he started making his way to his room
"Arthur dear where have you been?"queen Avery asked but he ignored her and continued going
"I'm talking to you love"she said and he looked at her sharply
"why do you care?"he asked rudely and queen Avery forced a smile
"I'm your mother you know I have to know what's going on with you"she said
"and you can also do anything for me?"he asked
"of course son anything"she said
"well then stay away from me"he said and made to leave but his father's voice stopped him
"don't you dare leave our presence mister, look at you a crown prince returning from where he went to in the morning covered with blood"king Alexander said angrily
"I'd really appreciate it king Alexander if you mind your business and stop meddling in my business instead focus on things that would help you and one more thing you guys should stay out of my way"he said and king Alexander stood there looking shocked, Arthur didn't call him father and his son just insulted him
"bella get me a glass of fresh blood"he said to the old maid before he left for his room
"what was all that about?"fiona asked shocked
"he doesn't even like anyone of us anymore"Adam said and I sighed,the rest of the dinner was eaten in silence and I was sure everyone was deep in thought the same way I was.
