After dressing up for the ball we made our way to the car my brother and sister fighting as usual.
After we had been called into the hall I went to take my seat while all the girls started looking at me and talking about me in a way I didn't like but I felt a pull towards someone I couldn't find in the crowd so I looked through the crowd hoping to find that someone when I saw a pair of beautiful blue eyes Staring at me, she had long blonde hair and she looked like a queen in the black gown she was wearing,she had nice curvy hips,a fine waist and she looked really sexy and beautiful. I felt a hit on my shoulder and I looked at my side to see Adam giving me a suspicious look
"you've been looking at that girl for sometime now"he said
"no I wasn't"I said
"fine if you say so but I suspect you"he said
"whatever"I said and he gave me a mischievous smile
"have you ever seen her?"I asked
"no I haven't"he said
"anyway I'll be back"I said and left but before I could get to where she was she had left, I went to where the others were as they had moved to a big table, they were all talking about how to get more blood donors from the humans ugh can this party get anymore boring
"what do you think son?"my father asked taking a sip of the blood he was drinking
"whatever you said was a good idea"I said trying to force a smile but my brother rolled his eyes
"seems like my son wasn't listening"my father said
"please excuse me"I said standing up
"you need to start listening to meetings like this son it will do you a lot of good"my father said
"dad please this isn't the right time for this"I said and left while grabbing a glass of blood from one of those serving.
The people were still dancing so I made my way to the back of the hall when Josephine made her way towards me swaying her hips and I rolled my eyes
"hey Arthur"she said seductively, this girl is so annoying and irritating
"what?"I asked, she was the last person I wanted to see
"come on Arthur let's go dance,this song is so romantic"she said battling her lashes
"no"I said sipping my drink
"come on Arthur it's just a dance"she said and I looked at her and saw what she was wearing, she was wearing a tight silver gown that exposed her thigh, she tried touching me but I pushed her away and stood up
"I don't want to dance don't you get it and let me tell you this Josephine stay away from me I don't like you and I will never like you so forget all the false hopes you have been given"I said and left.
I was very tired and we would be leaving for the palace the next day so I made my way to a guestroom when someone hit me
"hey watch where you are going"I said and she looked up revealing the most beautiful pair of eyes but then the shocking part of it was that she was my mate and I could still smell the faint scent of a human on her which meant she was one of them
"no way it can't be you I know you are human"I said
"I'm sorry I can explain"she said
"explain what?why you are my beloved? I asked angrily
"what do you mean?"she asked and I held her neck and pressed her to the wall close to us
"you are my fucking beloved, do you know what that means I have to spend the rest of my life with you which I can't, let's do it this way you go your way and I'll go my way let's act like we never met"I said and used my vampire speed to leave never looking back, I know I actually hurt her but it is for the best.
