Shallow Water

I'm as shallow as that water to be flown away with hatred.
I'm as shallow as that water to be flown away with kindness.
While all I tried was to become a stone which cannot be melt away even by the saltiest water of the sea.
When the nails of hatred digged into my skin,
I moved away while letting my boundaries high.
When those nails came back polished themselves with fake sweetness I accept them letting my guards down.
I was naive enough to love them,
Fool enough to expect love from them and good changes in them.
I was good enough to see good in the worse.
But I was cowards enough to letting those nails dig into my skin knowing at the end that's how it is going to be.
I often tried to become that stone to break those nails but even in my solid form I let go those soft seeming thorns.
I'm as shallow as that water to be flown away with hatred.
I'm as shallow as that water to be flown away with kindness.
While all I tried was to become a stone which cannot be melt away even by the saltiest water of the sea.
