"Ate puti! Ate puti! Gising na!"
I slowly opened my eyes. My sight was still blurry while reminiscing my dream! What kind of dream is that?!
I have dreamed of something I've never imagined.
In my dream, I was lost.
In my dream, I woke up welcoming three little kids.
In my dream, there's a rude man.
In my dream, that man claimed me as his wife!
And in my dream, I ate a fucking frog!
I abruptly sat down, and shook my head. My eyes were closed.
"Ate puti! Kakain na ulit!" Nanlaki ang mata ko nang mapagtanto ang katotohanan.
Shit! It's not a fucking dream!
Natulala ako habang nasa harap ko sina Kulot, Lin-Lin, at Batchoy. Confirmed! It wasn't a dream! So, meaning to say! I indeed ate a fucking frog!
The kids were shaking me, but I can't even say a word. I was just looking at the bamboo bed, and my tears started falling. I can't believe this is really happening.
"Umiiyak na naman!" Batchoy's voice echoed. Hindi ko sila matingnan dahil mas natatakot akong harapin ang katotohanan.
I like these kids, but I'm not used to this kind of life. I want to go home. I would rather accept my father's decision to marry me with a stranger rather than living in this remote area. I might die.
"Bakit may naiyak na naman?" Masama ang ipinukaw kong tingin sa lalaking kapapasok lang sa loob.
"Baka nanaginip, kuya Raven!" Tumakbo ang mga bata sa kanya. Tumingin rin sa akin si Raven at tumaas ang sulok ng kanyang labi kaya mas napuyos ako sa galit.
The nerve!
"You kidnapped me!" I accused loudly.
He laughed. "Ikaw ang basta na lang sumakay sa sasakyan ko. Hindi kita pinilit. Dapat nga ay iniwan na kita sa daan pero naawa ako sayo dahil baka lapain ka ng baboy ramo" he said.
Well, he's right! Pero kasalanan niya! Ganda lang naman ang meron ako
"You helped me because you want me to be your wife! A fucking wife!" I screamed, my face dampened more.
"Kulot, Lin-Lin, Batchoy. Una na kayo sa lamesa. Susunod na kami ng ate Puti niyo" ginulo niya ang buhok ng mga bata bago nagtakbuhan palabas ang mga ito.
"Ayaw mo nun, may instant asawa ka." He smirked.
"Speak fucking English! I know you can!" I exclaimed while glaring.
"Ayaw ko. Matuto kang magtagalog ng diretso." I kicked him. Tumawa lang siya at hinuli ang aking binti.
"Get out!" I shouted and pushed his shoulder.
"Bahay ko ito, bakit ako lalabas? hmm?" I badly want to stab his lips.
"Fine! I'll go!" I was about to stand up, but he pulled my wrist. Napasalampak ako sa hita niya kaya nanlaki ang mata ko at hinila ang kanyang buhok.
"Aray!" Daing niya.
"Pervert! Manyak you!" I shouted while pulling his hair.
"Bitaw! Isa!" Banta niya pero hindi ako natatakot! Sino siya para sawayin ako?!
