Letter by Rome Miguel Fitzwilliam for Areum Loisa Gueverra in the story titled Bien tomados de la mano.

For my beloved Areum,

I want to escape the locked cage, and get out of the dirty lake,
That's why I drew on paper and ink the letters that could liberate the imprisoned spirit.

Can it be called a sin to denounce tyrannical rule?
Can fighting the government that makes our own country suffer be considered evil?

We are indeed on our own soil, but they are making us miserable.
Isn't it pitiful because we are being made slaves in our own country?

And a temple that was supposed to comfort the soul has caused misery and tears.

But that doesn't mean I've forgotten my vows to you. My opposition does not mean surrender.

Love became my weapon,
But I didn't expect that this exact love would separate our united hearts.

I know I have brought hardship, sorrow, and burden to you, but now I want this heart of mine to bring courage, and soon I will come to you.

Tonight we will meet at our meeting place. The things your heart desires I will willingly grant you. I will pull you and you will run with me.

Let's leave this world hand in hand.

Your love,

Rome Miguel Fitzwilliam.
