Chapter 11: Valentine's Day Insanity

Few months later, on a nice morning in the city of Catalonia, today was Valentine's Day! So many couples were giving gifts and flowers to each other and having a wonderful time. In the New Moon Theater, the Troupe were decorating the theater in celebration of the holiday. "There we go! Last piece!" said Meena as the group admired the hard work. "Wow! This looks amazing! Totally holiday fit." said Ash. "Thank you everyone for helping me decorate the theater. Now I gotta go to my office. I am expecting a very important call soon." said Buster. "Oh. Is it a special Valentine calling you?" teased Gunter as Buster chuckled. "No Gunter. I may be running a big shot theater but I don't really have time for relationships. Not yet at least." Buster replied as he heads to his office. "Well...you guy got plans for Valentine's Day?" asked Johnny. "Norman and I are gonna go for a little picnic. Gunter already offered to babysit the kids." said Rosita. "Well, Nooshy and I are doing the same thing. Go out on a nice picnic by the lake." said Johnny. "Well I put myself out there recently and had a few dates. I've gotten along with a porcupine named Coleman. He's really nice and sweet. We decided to have a nice dinner." said Ash. The group then turned to Chris, Porsha, Dante and Ember. "What about you guys?" asked Rosita. "Well, considering the fact it's Ember and I's first Valentine's Day together, were just gonna have a fancy dinner at the restaurant at the town plaza." said Dante. "Sounds romantic enough." said Ember. Before the group could ask Chris and Porsha, they all heard a honk outside. "Huh. I wonder what that could be." said Rosita as the group was about to head out. "Uh, why don't you guys go ahead? I gotta a little something I need to do. I'll catch up with you guys later!" said Chris as he dashed outside to the back of the theater. Porsha looks at him with confusion. "Where is he going?" she asked. "An errand maybe?" said Dante. "Or something else? But don't worry about it, let's go see what's going on out there." said Ember as she took her arm and headed out. Meanwhile at a indoor studio, Chris was inside with a production crew as they were helping him set up a Valentine's Day surprise for Porsha, with a float of a giant heart with an image of her inside along with a sign that said 'I love you, Porsha'. Dante and Ember were in on the surprise, which is why they would try their best to make sure the surprise isn't spoiled. The production team did a rehearsal of the presentation but Chris didn't like the way it turned out. "Wait, stop!" he said as the crew stopped. "Gee and I thought being a director would be easy. Come on, guys. This is my first Valentine's Day with Porsha. The surprise has to be perfect." said Chris. "Sorry boss. It's not really easy to do the surprise if the float's this big. We might need to find something big enough to move this at a good and steady pace." said a crew member as Chris's ears perked up. "That's...actually not that bad of an idea. We could maybe find a truck and have a slab trailer on the back, so that way it would be easier!" said Chris as the crew nodded in an agreement. "Alright. We'll head out and get one before the surprise. Better yet, the town is holding a Valentine's Day Dance at the park. Maybe you could do the surprise there!" said another crew member. "That's perfect! That way the surprise can be even better!" said Chris as the crew continued production. Back with the Troupe, the group went to front of the theater and see Meena and Alfonso in a new decorated ice cream truck. "Hey guys! What do you think of Alfonso's truck?" asked Meena. "Wow! It looks pretty cool guys!" said Ash. "So have you guys heard of the dance happening downtown?" asked Alfonso. "No." said all. "Well it's gonna happen tonight at the park. You guys going?" asked Meena. "Sure! That sounds fun." said Ash as everyone agreed. Hours later, Porsha was waiting outside the theater, trying to find Chris. "Where is that wolf?" she asked as Porsha pulls out her phone and calls him. Back with Chris, he and the production crew took the float to the park, where they hid it in the tent at the park. "Alright, we just need to do a few more rehearsals." said Chris. Suddenly, he heard his phone ringing as he sees Porsha calling him. Chris's eyes widened. "Oh no! Everyone, quiet!" he said as he answered. "H-Hey, babe. What's up?" said Chris nervously. "What's up? You just disappeared and I hadn't seen you for almost 3 hours. Where are you? I was hoping we can have some fun on Valentine's Day before the dance tonight." said Porsha. "Uh. Well Porsha, I don't think I have time to spend time before the dance. I'm kind of a bit busy at the moment." said Chris. "Busy? Doing what exactly?" asked Porsha. "I...I have a lot of errands to take care of." said Chris as Porsha's suspicion grew larger. "Chris, are your hiding something from me?" asked Porsha. "No! Not at all! You trust me, right?" asked Chris as Porsha sighed deeply. "Alright. I-I trust you, Chris. But please hurry with your errands. I really want to spend time with you today. I love you." said Porsha. "Love you too, babe." Chris replied as he hung up. Porsha sighed. "Alright. As long as he's gonna make it and spend time with me, it's all that matters." she said as she left to join the others. Chris sighed as he looked at the crew. "Alright guys. We need to get this thing in position now." he said. "Uh, boss? We got a problem. One of the wheels on the slab popped." said a crew member. "Your kidding." said Chris. "No, he's being serious." said another member. Then, the float started to fall. "Guys! The float!" yelled a member as everyone came to hold it up, just in time. "Whew. That was close. Alright, we just need another slab. Where can we find one?" asked Chris. "There's one across town. It'll probably take me five minutes to get it." said a crew member. "Alright. Don't be too long." said Chris. Once again, back with the Troupe, they were getting ready for the dance. Dante and Ember were in their penthouse getting ready for the dance. Dante was wearing was wearing a nice suit, with his designs on the jacket. Ember was wearing a nice dress with her favorite denim jacket over it. "Wow, you look amazing, Ember." said Dante as she smiled. "Thank you, Dante. You look very handsome." Ember replied. The two then heard a knock on the door. Dante rushes to open it and sees Porsha, with a angry look on her face. "Oh, Porsha! What's up?" asked Dante. "I need to talk to you both." said Porsha as she entered. "What's going on, Porsha?" asked Ember. "Is Chris hiding something from me?" asked Porsha. "No! Why?" asked Dante. "Because it's been almost THREE hours since I last called him and he still hadn't came back home." said Porsha. "Well...I'm sure whatever it is, I'm sure it's important." said Dante. "He said he has errands to take care of. There's no way it takes him that long to get them done!" said Porsha. "Porsha! Calm down. It's Valentine's Day." said Ember. "Well if it's Valentine's Day, Ember, then why hasn't he spent ANY time with me today, huh? Isn't that what this holiday is about" asked Porsha. Dante hears his phone buzz and sees a text from Chris, saying that the surprise is ready. "Actually, your about to find out. Come on. Let's go to the dance right after we get you dressed." said Dante as Ember takes her to her room. Later, the Troupe arrived at the party, where the beautiful moon shines above along with the night sky. "Wow. This is amazing." said Rosita. "Come on, let's have some fun, guys." said Ash as she and Coleman went to the dance floor. Rosita and Norman along with Johnny and Nooshy went to the dance floor, leaving only Dante, Ember and Porsha. "So what is it that we're waiting for?" asked Porsha. "Just wait, you'll see." said Ember as Chris then arrived. "Hey guys!" he said. "Hey Chris!" said Dante and Ember. "Um, hey babe. You still mad at me?" asked Chris as Porsha stood. "Chris, I need to talk to you. You've haven't spent anytime with me at all today since this morning. Even when I called and said you'd be back when your errands would be done, you still didn't show. I-I don't understand. Is it me?" asked Porsha with a small frown. "What? No, no! Porsha, babe, it's not you, I promise." said Chris. He then sees the surprise all set and ready with the float behind her. "I actually was setting up a surprise for you." said Chris as Porsha's ears perked up. "A surprise? What are you talking about?" she asked in confusion. "Look behind you." said Chris as she turned and gasped loudly. "Surprise!" said all as Porsha slowly shed tears and approaches the float. "Is...Is this for me?" asked Porsha. "It sure is. I've spent weeks making the best Valentine's Day gift for you." said Chris as Porsha hugs him tightly. "This is amazing, babe. But...you didn't have to do all of this." she said. "I know. But I wanted to, seeing the fact that this is our first Valentine's Day together." said Chris as Porsha slightly blushed. "Thank you, Chris. Your the sweetest and kindest soul I've ever met. I love you." said Porsha. "I love you too, Porsha." said Chris as the two shared a passionate kiss. "Oh and I almost forgot. I have one more surprise for you and I think your gonna like this one." said Chris as he looks up to the entrance way. Porsha looks towards it and sees a female wolf wearing a white long sleeve shirt, a black blouse and a large black hat. Porsha's eyes widened as she was who it was.

It was her mother, Claudia Crystal.

The two made eye contact with each other and approached each other, looking face to face. "M-Mom?" said Porsha. "Porsha." said Claudia as she gently held her hand on her cheek. Porsha sheds tears as she throws herself in her arms and Claudia embraces her daughter. "I missed you so much. I thought I'd never see you again and forget about me." whispered Porsha as Claudia softly chuckled. "Why would I forget my one and only daughter? I've missed you ever since. I was trying to contact you but your father must've block my number to prevent me from contacting you. But I'm here now and I'm not leaving you again." said Claudia as Porsha smiled. "But...how did you know how I was here?" she asked. "Well, I was preparing to move until I gotten a call." said Claudia as she looked at Chris. Porsha looks at him with surprise. "You called her?" she asked. "Mhm. Remember a few months ago, when you told me how much you missed your mom and that you wanted to see her again?" asked Chris as Porsha nodded. "Well, with Dante and Ember's help, I was able to get in contact with her and told her where you were, so the two of you can see each other again." explained Chris as Porsha hugs him once more. "This really is the best Valentine's Day." said Porsha as Chris smiled. Claudia then approaches him. "Thank you so much for reuniting me with my daughter. If it hand't been for you, I wouldn't be here tonight." she said as Chris smiled. "It's what I do." he said. "Your mother was certainly right about you." said Claudia as Chris's ears perked up. "Wait. You knew my mom?" he asked as Claudia nodded before showing him a couple of photos of her and Queen together. "I've met her a long time ago at an awards ceremony. We had a drink and eventually got along pretty well. She even hired me to be her fashion designer, which of course I accepted. Since then, we were close until the day I found out she died. Your mother was like a sister to me." said Claudia as Chris smiled. "Now, why are we standing around? Let get this party started!" said Claudia as everyone cheered and the party continues throughout the night. 2 hours later, everyone returns home. Chris and Porsha returned home and went to bed. "Chris...thank you. Thanks for today. This truly has been the best Valentine's Day ever. I'm really sorry about my attitude earlier. When you were gone all day, I thought you didn't want to spend time with me today. I guess the fact of being alone was still getting to me." said Porsha. "It's okay, Porsha. What matters to me now, is that your happy." said Chris as Porsha smiled and the couple share one more passionate kiss before falling asleep peacefully in each other's arms. Porsha has now reunited with her mother and it's all thanks to Chris.

(Quick A/N: Another long chapter in the books. For those of you who don't know, Claudia Crystal is the assumed name for Porsha's mother. Not 100% positive if it's confirmed to be but it kind of does fit her if you think about it. Most sources say that it is her actual name).
