"𝐎𝐡!" 𝐌𝐲 mom exclaims as she brings the camera down to get a good look at my brother all dressed up in his Ghost Busters costume. "I want to see those pearls! Yeah!"

My mom snaps another picture and I roll my eyes, but I can't help but grin as I sit on the couch and stroke Mews's head. She purrs softly, enjoying the attention. My brother, meanwhile, stands proudly, showing off his bright smile as his lifts his proton pack, posing for the camera. The sight is obviously adorable, my brother's excitement and pride filling the room with warmth and delight.

"Who you gonna call?" My mom scats the theme song of the movie and laughs as she continues to snap more photos of my brother, who continues to pose in front of the fireplace.

"Ghostbusters!" I call out from my spot on the couch, laughing to myself as I grab my backpack, getting ready to bike to school.

"Have a good day, sweetie!"

I head to the library during my free study block, and see Steve and Nancy sitting at a table quietly working on their homework. They glance up at me when I enter, and I give them a brief smile before plopping myself down in the chair next to Steve. I pull out my homework, writing down answers on the pages, hoping they're right.

I breathe out an exhausted sigh and feel Steve's gaze on the side of my head as I hunch over my papers.

A little snap emits through the library and I quickly look up to see Nancy with a broken pencil. I send the girl a look of concern, my eyes following her as she stands up and heads towards the pencil sharpener on the wall. Steve looks up as she stands, only now noticing her movement.

"Is she okay?" I turn my gaze to the boy beside me.

"The Hollands are selling the house." Steve says, rubbing his forehead, "And I guess they called up this guy named, Murray Bauman, to search for Barb."

"Oh my god," I breathe out quietly, pausing from the work in front of me, "They still don't know."

"Yeah..." Steve sighs, glancing at his homework before returning his gaze to me.

"I should've been there last night." I whisper with regret, "I'm so sorry."

"Hey, you don't have to be sorry." Steve grabs my hand, squeezing lightly, "Nancy's just a little shaken up, that's all."

"Maybe you should go check on her?" I nod towards the girl who seems to be zoned out while sharpening her pencil.

"Yeah." Steve follows my gaze to his girlfriend, "Good idea." He lets go of my hand before walking over to Nancy.

I watch as Steve and Nancy enter the little study room in the back of the library. My heart beats a little faster, my eyes following the pair as they enter the small, private space. Steve makes his way towards the window, and our eyes meet as he quickly shuts the blinds.

I sigh, before returning to my homework.

Applying the last layer of red lipstick, my gaze shifts to my reflection in the mirror and my heart flutters with pride. I smooth out my costume, admiring the way the black skin-tight pants and off-the-shoulder top come together. My belt cinched tight around my waist accentuating my figure.

Damn. I look good.

"Holy shit." I hear my brother say with his mouth wide open as he stands outside my bedroom door, "You're wearing that?"

"Yeah?" I reply hesitantly, worried it didn't look as good as I thought.

"Steve is gonna lose his mind." Dustin comments with a smirk before walking away.
