Lucy's POV:

As I'm in the gym training, I think of my interaction with Keira earlier. Something seemed to be bothering her, but I know she'll tell me if she wants to when she's ready. I continue with my gym session and soon enough it's time to regroup on the pitch with the other group. We all walk down the stairs to the pitch, I'm walking with Mary and Alex and all three of us are too engrossed in our conversation to notice what's going on around us. I feel a tap on my shoulder and turn to look at Leah who looks distraught. I immediately say "what's wrong ?", and then immediately notice Kei in front of me looking around frantically, I rush over to her while the rest of the team go to another side of the pitch to give us some space. "Where's Charlie and Ellie ?", Keira asks me worriedly, "they're supposed to be with you", she continues looking around frantically. "Kei, come here, what are you on about they're not with me, they were with you, here on the pitch" I ask her gently pulling her over to me, I start to worry as she starts panicking. "They were tired so Charlie asked could they come find you and I said yes as long as they stuck together and didn't wander off, and off they went, and so all this time I thought they were with you, but they're not and I don't know where they are", she sobbed, I pulled her into to me and rubbed her back. "We'll find them, don't worry", I assure her, not fully sure of myself, but I wasn't going to tell Keira that or she'd get herself more worked up than she was. Once we were both ready we headed over to Sarina to explain the situation to her. She immediately told us to go and informed us that training was finished for the afternoon and that the whole team would help find them. Everyone came over and listened to Sarina as she told them what was happening and everyone immediately agreed to help us look for them.

Everyone split up to cover more ground and look for them. I looked with Kei and Le, we started looking in the chill room and the dining hall, when suddenly my phone rang, it was Steph, who told us to meet her at the lifts next to reception. We raced over there immediately, where we saw Steph and Demi talking to someone. We walked over to them and Steph turned around to us and explained that one of the lifts was stuck between the ground floor and the 1st floor, where the gym was, she then continued to explain that the guy her and Demi had been speaking to was a maintenance worker and was trying to fix it. Keira gripped onto my hand tightly and cried quietly. I stroked my thumb over her hand and pulled her into my chest. Demi came back over to us and told us that the maintenance worker had told us to wait here because the lift would probably go back down, so that's where we stayed.

Charlie's POV:

We've definitely been in here for at least an hour, if not longer, the lights in the lift stopped working about 15 minutes ago and since then Ellie has been crying a lot louder than before and keeps calling out for mum and Keira. I just sit there trying to calm her down while also worrying that we'll be stuck in here overnight. All of a sudden the lights flicker on and the button seem to light up, I quickly press the button for the ground floor, the lift starts to slowly move down. Then the lift stops and makes a ping sound, I start to worry again, but stop when the doors start to open slowly. I immediately stand up and once the doors are open wide enough I spot mum and Keira and most of the team. I sprint to mum and jump into her arms and cling to her. I watch as Keira runs to the lift and picks up Ellie and brings her out of the lift. I can hear her still crying but a little quieter now that she's in Keira's arms. I don't make any movement to get down and mum doesn't seem to be letting me down anytime soon. I pull my arms back from around mum's neck and look at her, "I'm so glad you're okay, Charlie", mum whispers to me before pulling me back to hug her again. Eventually mum puts me down but I continue to hug her, but then I feel two arms wrap around me and look around to see that it's Leah. I hug her back as she whispers to me "you had us worried there mini bronze". I just hug her again. I look over to mum and see her hugging Kei who still has Ellie in her arms and I step away from my hug with Le and run over to join the family hug that's happening. Mum and Keira both pull me into the hug. Eventually we stop hugging and someone announces that this calls for an afternoon off. Surprisingly the coaches agree and everyone cheers. I just wrap my arm around Keira again hugging her and Ellie at the same time, while looking around at everyone.

For our afternoon off, we decide to go for a family walk, plus a few of the team. Mum carries Ellie in her arms who has no interest in walking. I walk beside Keira who is telling me about how Georgia missed a penalty in training today after boasting that she could make it. Also on the walk is Ellen, Demi, Steph, Leah, Alex and Ellie.

While on our walk I feel like someone is watching me and I keep looking around but don't see anyone. I decide to walk on the other side of Keira, in between her and mum. Even after doing this I still feel like someone is watching me and I look around again and that's when I spot someone standing behind the fence. I tug on mum's sleeve and she looks down at me. "Mum there's someone over there watching us", I nod towards where the person is stood. Mum immediately stops walking and pulls out her phone, Keira who heard what I said grabs my hand and pulls me into her side. Eventually the rest of the group catch up and look at us worried, as Lucy starts talking on the phone to someone. Keira then quietly explains what's happening and trying to be subtle but clearly failing they all look over to where the stranger is stood. Once mum is finished on the phone we all hear a car driving down the road parallel to us, it stops and John, one of the security guys gets out, he goes over to the stranger and exchanges a few words with him before the stranger turns away and gets in the backseat of John's car. John waves over to us and gives us a thumbs up. Everyone sighs with relief and we all decide to head back. But I still feel like I'm being watched and try to shake that feeling. Keira pulls me into her again and whispers to me "it's ok Charlie, you're safe, no one will let anything happen to you", she then kisses the top of my head and we continue back.
