Ok, so here is the long awaited update. Thank you guys for being so supportive and patient. I think the new schedule will be an update on Sundays, unless it gets too hectic I will try not to, but it's still hectic with college at the moment. Lucy's POV:
As I walked back into the bedroom, I noticed that Ellie was awake and someone had gotten her some of her toys and put them on the bed, so she could play with them. As I walked back over to the bed, Keira made eye contact with me as I climbed back into bed beside Charlie. I knew that she knew something was up, but I didn't give her anytime to ask me because I turned to Charlie and spoke up, "Charlie, I was just on the phone to Louise Clark", Charlie instantly looked up at me from playing with Ellie, and looked at me to continue. "She told me the details for the visit", Charlie then quietly said "when is it ?", it's in 2 days", I replied, gently rubbing my hand over her back, to comfort her. "Oh", is all she said, before going back to playing with Ellie. I looked over at Keira, who spoke up for the first time "don't worry Charlie, me, mum and Ellie will be right there with you the whole time", telling Charlie who looked down and said nothing. Suddenly she leaned into Keira's lap and cuddled into her, Keira cuddled her right back and rocked her back and forth. Ellie looked over to me and said "food mumma ?", I looked over at her and replied "yeah, we'll get food soon". Ellie seemed content enough with that answer and went back to playing, while talking to herself. I looked over at Keira to see Charlie still cuddled into her. Keira looked over at me and smiled gently.
After about 20 minutes, there was a knock at the door. I opened it to see Ellen and Demi. "Hey Luce, just wondering if you guys are coming to dinner ?", Demi asked me. "Oh yeah, we'll be there, you guys go ahead", I replied. They left and I closed the door behind me and turned back to see Ellie stood close behind me with her bottle and blanket in hand, "fooooodd !!!", she squealed. I chuckled and picked her up and sat down on the bed with her in my lap and said to her "you need shoes, if you want food", she looked up at me and frowned "no mumma", I looked over at Charlie and Keira who were listening and watching the interaction. "Yeah, you do", Ellie just shook her head and kept saying no. I looked to see Charlie half smile, and I said "why is that you and Ellie both hate putting shoes on ?", Charlie shrugged her shoulders and then said "I put them on now", "that's fair you do, but when you were younger you used to hide them on me, now Ellie doesn't like them either", Charlie just softly giggled. Keira looked over at us and said "right, let's get down to dinner", Charlie got up and announced she was quickly going to put her pj's on. Keira then decided it was best to put Ellie in hers, so I grabbed them and I got Ellie changed.
Once we were all ready to go, Charlie looked up at me and asked "can I have a piggy back ?", I sighed and led her over to the bed, so she could hop on, she got on grinning, since I don't give in to easily. Keira had given up on putting a jumper of any sort, even one of mine, which Ellie would usually love, on Ellie and just grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around her and picked her up.
We got down to dinner and sat down at a table with Leah, G, Meado, Alex and Roebuck. I heard Keira ask Leah could she hold onto Ellie while she grabbed dinner and of course Leah agreed. Me, Keira and Charlie grabbed dinner and Keira picked up a small plate for Ellie, which included a new food for her to try, broccoli, if I'm being honest I didn't think broccoli would go down very well. Once we were all sat back down, Keira put the plate in between her and Leah, and showed it to Ellie. As we ate our dinner, I looked over to see Keira picking up the broccoli and I immediately knew this was when war would begin.
Ever since we had been feeding Ellie regular food, we always struggled with getting her to eat new foods. First Keira would try anyway she could think of, then I would try and eventually Charlie would try. Sometimes we'd manage to get her to at least try it, but other times it would end in tears.
When I zoned back in, I noticed Keira was slowly giving up, when Ellie kept pushing the broccoli away or turning her head away. Then Leah turned to Ellie and said something to her, and Ellie slowly reached for the broccoli and slowly chewed on it. Once she finished the piece of broccoli, she looked up at Leah, and grinned before looking over at me and Keira, and clapping her hands. I looked at Keira, silently questioning if she knew what Leah had said to Ellie to convince her. Keira shook her head at me and turned to Leah and Ellie who was munching on another piece of broccoli.
Once I was finished with my dinner, I got up and grabbed any empty plates and brought them over to the staff, and thanked them. I went back over to the table and stood behind Keira's chair. She looked up at me and smiled, "Leah's after coming up with a genius idea", she said smiling. I looked down at her questioning this 'genius idea'. "I'll tell you, if you could make Ellie's bottle and bring it to the chill room". I chuckled at her bargain, and instantly went back to the kitchen to make Ellie's bottle.
When I reached the chill room, I opened the door to see Keira playing table tennis with Charlie, Rach and Millie, and it looked chaotic to say the least. Alex walked up beside me and said "they're all rubbish, there is no hope of anyone winning that game", I laughed at that and went over to Leah who was walking around, with Ellie in her arms. I went to hand Leah the bottle, but she shook her head, and handed Ellie to me. I looked curiously, because she always loved cuddling with Ellie before bed, but she simply grinned back at me and said "I need to go help your partner, not to lose too badly at table tennis". I chuckled and then went to sit next to Ellen and Alex, who were watching a football match on the big tv. I turned Ellie around so that she was lying across my lap and handed her the bottle. She grabbed onto it quickly and then I fixed her blanket and started watching the football match.
Once Ellie had finished the bottle and handed it back to me, she rolled over and cuddled into my chest. I rubbed circles on her back to help her fall asleep even quicker, which of course worked a treat and she was out like a light in less than 10 minutes. Keira, Charlie and Leah all came over complaining, but quietened quickly when they saw Ellie asleep in my arms. Keira sat down on my beanbag and combed her fingers gently through Ellie's hair. Leah looked over and quietly said "she's looking like you more and more everyday Kei", I agreed with Leah, Ellie did look a lot like Keira, and I was delighted because Kei was gorgeous. "Leah, I have to ask, how did you convince Ellie to eat the broccoli earlier ?", I ask, looking over at her. Leah, Charlie and Keira all chuckle, before Leah answers "I told her she wouldn't have to wear her shoes this evening", I chuckle softly, "but she doesn't wear them in the evening after dinner anyway", Keira turns and answers "yeah exactly, so Leah made her a promise that can be kept because she doesn't wear them anyway". I chuckle again, "well done Le, you've hacked the system". We all laugh and I look down at Ellie who is fast asleep, snuggled into my chest. I look over to see Charlie cuddled into Leah's chest, sound asleep. Leah sees me looking over and looks down and smiles gently.
"She told me earlier about the visit", Leah quietly says, looking around to make sure no one else is listening. Me and Keira both look over at her and Keira says "I'm glad she told you", I nod in agreement. Keira then turns to me and asks "you never said earlier any of the details", I lean down and place a gentle kiss to the top of Elleã's head, before answering "it's in Stapenhill Gardens, in Burton-upon-Trent at 2:30pm on the 4th". Keira nods before leaning in closer to me, being careful of the sleeping Elleã. I wrapped one of my arms around her bringing her closer into me. I notice Leah lean down and give Charlie a kiss to the top of her head.
