Chapter 10: Mistake

Emerald pov: I opened my eyes as I looked desperately around for anything familiar. I could feel tears running down my face. I hugged myself while I tried to calm myself. It's just a dream. It's just a dream. It's not real. It's going to be fine. I sighed, guess I'm going to have another sleepless night. I looked to the side to see my brother still asleep. At least he didn't hear me. Looking at the clock I noticed that an hour had passed. Even though it felt like an eternity there. I quietly got up and walked outside. Maybe the cold will wake me up, anyways a nice walk will also be calming. I didn't want the others to wake up and sleeping was NOT an option. It was quiet, you could even hear the wind whistling in the air and the snow crunching beneath me. I slumped down by tree trunk, feeling the icy cold snow in my hands while lost in thought. What in the world did I agree to? Why did I even agree? I don't even know why he even bothers giving me nightmares...Am i really that much of a lab rat? First Flowey and now this....I dont get it, why torture me when he can get negativity from an au? "Ah, so you're beginning to show your true colors" I heard a voice say tauntingly as a black goopy substance formed in front of me.....Oh great, him again. "And what do you mean by that?l I said irritated. "Well you're selfless of course" Me? Selfish?! "I can sense that your tired, couldn't handle it? Actually forget about sensing you can physically notice it. I really thought you were different but your just like any other human"  Like any other human? Like other humans?! "I am nothing like those selfish humans" "Guess your hypocrite as well, you really are just like them" I'm starting to hate Nightmare more and more, I swear! "Just because I'm human doesn't mean I adore humanity. I am NOTHING like them." "True...but then again would this even concern you? Your not exactly human after all, are you?" I stood still as flashbacks came back to me. I...almost forgot.....about that. How could i forget....AUggh im tired of this shit! "Why do you keep doing this? Why are you really doing this?" I said hatefully and tired. I'm just sick and tired of everything. I saw as Nightmare only gave a smirk. "Maybe..it's to make myself stronger. To see your potential? Or maybe it's for fun, seeing as you slowly break. Or maybe purpose entirely. It doesn't matter" "I don't understand why you bother tormenting me when you can cause negativity at another au" I stood as I realized what I said. "Well why shouldn't I?" Before I could stop him, Nightmare left....Oh shit what did I do?! What should I do? Wait Ink told me something, something about summoning him for emergencies. I took out my phone and called Ink..........."Aughhh hello?" "INK! Get here fast! I thing an au is being attacked!" "WHAT?!" I could hear some shuffling noises and a bump. He must have fallen since i heard a small "oww" noise. He suddenly appeared in front of me. Ink was still in his pajamas and looked at me confusingly. It was awkwardly quiet, but i noticed Inks pupils changed to a diamond and question mark. "Wow, it looks like you haven't slept in years!" ........what? Seriously?! "Ink did you listen to me?" Ink looked at me "ummm nooo?" "Ni-I think someone's attacking the aus" Ink pupil then changed. He suddenly grabbed me and pulled me in a portal reaching.....the anti void? "Ink what are we doing here?"

Ink Pov: Emerald looked irritated and sounded very tired. She actually looks dead inside, it's creepy. Has she been sleeping? "Sounds like someone is feeling crabby~" she signed. "I just want to know what we are doing here exactly" "Isn't it obvious?" Wow, today Emerald's acting really weird. Did I not tell her about Error? Before anyone could say anything the culprit teleported in. Ithen checked my scarf filled with my tiny personal notes.

Error pov: Of course he wouldn't remember.This idiot can't even remember what happens in a minute. While Ink was busy looking at his dumb scarf I decided to get some real answers. We were supposed to tell Dream but I guess he forgot and assumed it was you." Emerald explained. "OH I did find it! For some reason there was a chocolate bar, a tv, and a yellow mark next to it." I remember why, when me and the anomaly were watching Undernovela, that abomination stole my chocolate. "Wait, what was I here for?" I give up. "An au was being attacked so you were going to tell Dream" "Oh okay!..And why are you here?" Emerald looks completely done with this shit. Glad, I'm not the only one. "I don't know, Why did you drag me here?!" She said completely irritated. Wait, did she always have dark bags under her eyes? Speaking of, it's late and I need a nap. I need some more chocolates right now.
