Kate remembered someone once told her that it was not polite to stare. She begged to differ. Maybe at some point, it's true, it was not polite to stare, but if the person one was staring at was asleep and she wouldn't it, she wouldn't know the difference anyway, then she think, staring was OK.

And that was what she was doing at the moment. Just staring. Not even moving. Just staring at the person sleeping peacefully beside her.

She got better after a couple of days of staying with Abbie, and she was very nice about it. But of course, she missed a whole lot of her classes and now she had to work double time to catch up.

Beth and Harrold were very glad to lend her notes for all the classes they shared together and now she thought that her friends were just awesome.

The girl stirred a little and she thought she was going to wake up, but she just slept on. She couldn't help but smile how she look so wonderful. She never said things like that to anyone before but she could make a very special exception for Abbie right at the moment just because of how majestic she is even she's just sleeping. She really is a perfect fit for a Princess and a future Queen; a fact that still mind blown her whenever she think of it. She never thought of spending her a point of her life with one of the most important person in the world and of this country.

She never thought that she would fall- No. Don't dare say it Katelyn! Don't even dare thinking of it!

Something really changed in her. The problem was that she was too stubborn to accept it. She tried, once, saying it out loud to see how it felt but she couldn't even get past one word.

She hadn't realized when exactly the "brave and cold girl" front she had put up began eating her from inside out. Normally, she could say it without problems but she had turned into such a Grinch and she didn't even know how it all started. It was just a front but now it really was who she was...

...until someone came along and started melting it right off of her.

Sighing deeply, she slowly got up from the bed. It was six o'clock in the morning and she figured she could get up ahead of the girl for a change. She wanted to do something nice for her as thank you for taking care of her needy ass while she was sick. She figured making breakfast would be good thank you so she proceeded to the kitchen after washing up a bit in the bathroom.

And so she was facing the flour, eggs, some blueberries, oil, frying pan and all the other stuff used to make pancakes. There was just one small problem. She wasn't exactly the best cook in the world. She always got her food from different restaurants in the whole area so she never had to worry about cooking.

But she figured she could do pancakes. Pancakes were easy. She used to watch her grandmother do it before. So she started to mix all the ingredients together, heating up the pan at the same time, the whole shebang. That was when she heard the front door open and close suddenly. She jumped, looking around to see who it was.

"Oh. Sorry. Did I startle you? I didn't mean to." Patrick said quietly as he walked closer to where Kate was.

She was a little embarrassed that she was only wearing her nightdress and a bathrobe over it, but she was more curious as to what the prince was doing in Abbie's place so early in the morning. The guy didn't use to come a lot, but lately he'd been like a permanent fixture around the apartment, just not so early in the morning.
