LONGING FOR YOU 𖤐 SWISS GHOUL

𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒊'𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒔 | 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒚 𝒐𝒏𝒆

Rain was rarely wrong but to be honest, he kind of wished he would've been this time. Having to listen to Swiss' insufferable pleas to see Bellamira was getting pathetic at this point. And come to find out, Dew was also an employee of Swiss' dumb campaign to get Mira back which was more infuriating. Combining two fire ghouls together for an action plan was dangerous for anyone around, simply because it meant they didn't stop until getting what they want. Plus Dew didn't even care if Swiss got Mira back, he honestly just wanted an excuse to bother Rain as much as possible. 

Once Dew found out where Bellamira slept, he camped out front of it as a form of protest apparently. Rain nearly suffocated himself with a pillow that night between the angry stomps and Mira crying herself to sleep again. Bellamira was equally suffering and basically locked herself away in the room to stay away from the ghouls. 

Back when Terzo had passed, Mira locked herself away for a concerning amount of time and it seemed like this would be the same case. Just having to hear Swiss outside the door begging for her to just listen to him was enough of a pain. You could hear the heartbreak in both of their voices, one just pleading to listen and the other repeatedly saying to go away. 

Putting the soulmate bond to the side, Bellamira was just heartbroken that yet another person was out of her life. This however had to be worse considering Swiss was still there but equally far away with how much he hurt her. Sister Evelyn had gotten exactly what she wanted except for the fact that Swiss wanted absolutely nothing to do with her. He had even gone to Papa to demand that she should be banished from the abbey. However that came with a lot of complications at first, a good reprimanding from Cardi wasn't the highlight of his day. Who would've thought Papa could use such colorful words, Swiss shuddered just thinking about it every time. 

The only good thing that came out of that conversation was that Cardi was now on Swiss' side after explaining twice what occurred. However they couldn't exactly kick Sister Evelyn to the curb for just toying with people. Cardi was definitely working with the ghouls on exactly how to get Bellamira to have a sit down with Swiss. He managed to get Mira out of the room with the excuse of needing her assistance with the summoning for the next ghoul that Aether would be teaching. 

"Oh sorella, sembri...uh damp?" Cardi wrung his hands together nervously once Bellamira quickly darted inside the office. Her eyes definitely still puffy, the redness in her cheeks dampened with the water she splashed earlier to look more alive. Apparently it hadn't worked leaving Mira grimacing with narrowed eyes aimed at Cardi. 

"You have such a way with words, Cardi truly. Rainy said you needed my assistance?" Bellamira sniffled while plopping down on the chair. Skimming over the paperwork on the table hadn't given any hints of what exactly he needed. She much rather had stayed burrito wrapped in bed watching another obnoxious Disney film with Rain but no of course not. 

"Well okie dokie then, I thought you might like to help with the summoning ritual hmm?" Cardi may have wanted to not appear nervous but it was pretty evident to Mira. She chalked it up to him being perhaps sort of unexperienced when it came to summoning ghouls. Most of the time, Sister Imperator was the one who handled said rituals but Cardi wanted to take over once becoming Papa. 

"I'm definitely surprised that you've asked me but maybe it can help with everything going on." Bellamira needed a good distraction. Rain had been adamant when it came to trying to get her out of the room. He didn't want her to become as reclusive as before or simply just rotting away thanks to Swiss making the worst mistake possible; Rain's words to a T. 

"Have you uh thought about speaking with our ghoul?" Cardi was glad that the desk hid his bouncing leg due to nerves. Bellamira grimaced instantly whilst thumbing through the pages of the ritualistic bible. Speaking with Swiss was possibly the worst idea to her, the thought of having to just see him was tough enough. 

"What's done is done, Cardi." Mira sniffled. The last thing she wanted to do right now was cry in front of Cardi. He didn't deserve to deal with her issues while going through the multitudes of problems that came with being Papa. 

"He deserves a chance to explain himself, don't cha think?" Cardi was certainly optimistic when it came to Mira and Swiss getting back together. Putting the soulmate bond aside, the two seemed like a genuinely lovely couple and his ghoul had been much happier. Now rehearsals were filled with missed cues, fighting and Swiss' strained voice just trying his best. 

"I never wanted to get hurt again and he knew that but still decided to cheat on me. How is he worthy of a second chance?" Bellamira had the inkling of a feeling of wanting to exactly do just that. Perhaps it was the soulmate bond but the idea of just running into his arm and pretending all of this was one bad nightmare was tempting. However sometimes what you want isn't always good for you. 

"Not everything is what it seems, sorella." Cardi hinted. Her mind was already spiraling and now she had to deal with Cardi putting it on ultra drive? Rain had been adamant to not let Swiss in, he didn't deserve a second chance after what he pulled and she certainly agreed. She would've assumed that Cardi would've felt the same but why wasn't he? Is there something he knew that she didn't? Just everything seemed so out of place now and Mira was torn between to listening to her heart or her head.
