As Asmodeus retreated into the shadows, consumed by jealousy and regret, he found himself in a place that was neither here nor there—a realm between the mortal world and the divine. It was in this dim, ethereal space that he unexpectedly encountered Zeus, the ruler of the gods.

Zeus, a deity of immense power and wisdom, regarded Asmodeus with a knowing look. He had observed the ancient god's struggles and the complex web of emotions that had begun to unravel within him.

"Asmodeus," Zeus spoke with a voice that resonated like thunder, "you walk a treacherous path."

Asmodeus, his pride and anger still smoldering, turned to face the king of the gods. "What do you want, Zeus?"

Zeus sighed, his gaze unwavering. "I want to remind you of what you're losing," he said, his tone filled with gravitas. "Seraphina is not just any mortal. She possesses a rare gift—the ability to see the goodness in even the darkest of souls. You are slowly but surely losing the only person who has the heart and guts to change you."

Asmodeus bristled at Zeus's words, his heart torn between anger and resignation. He had pushed Seraphina away, and now he was faced with the consequences of his actions. He knew that she had the power to transform him, to thaw the icy fortress around his heart, but his pride and stubbornness had blinded him to the truth.

"What would you have me do, Zeus?" Asmodeus demanded, his voice laced with frustration. "I am who I am."

Zeus regarded him with a piercing gaze. "Change is never easy, especially for beings as ancient as us," he said. "But it is not a sign of weakness to evolve and embrace the light within you. Seraphina has seen it, even if you haven't. The question is, will you let your pride and anger be your downfall, or will you seize the opportunity for redemption that stands before you?"

Asmodeus remained silent, his mind filled with conflicting emotions. He had always prided himself on his power and darkness, but now he was faced with the undeniable truth that there was more to him than he had ever allowed himself to see.

Zeus's reminder hung heavy in the air, a stark and unwelcome truth that Asmodeus couldn't easily dismiss. He knew that he had a choice to make, one that would determine the course of his destiny and the fate of the bond he had pushed away.

In this chapter, Asmodeus encounters Zeus, who serves as a reminder of the importance of Seraphina's presence and her unique ability to see the goodness in him. Zeus's words force Asmodeus to confront his pride and stubbornness, and the difficult choice that lies ahead.
