Chapter 7: past has passed

"Vina, come on. I don't wanna watch this movie again!" Randy whines as i put Childs Play in to watch.

I grin "too late!".

He groans and throws a cushion at me.

"That's in my collection now" i tease, hugging his pillow.

"Oh come on!" He complains.

He suddenly grins and leaps toward me before tickling me.

My wounds were now healed as it had been a month since i was shot.

"R-Randy, st-stop!"

I writhe around under him before he relents his attack, allowing me to gasp for air after my giggling.

"Have it back, you pick the next movie!" I throw his pillow back at him and he grins.

Me and Randy had become really close since the incident.

And since i moved in after i was released, no one had contacted me or Randy.

It made me angry at first, but i was happy in Randy's company.

I sigh as i watch the boy lean forward, intently watching the movie.

I liked his room, it had horror posters on every wall and where there wasnt posters there was furniture.

Mrs Meeks allowed me to stay in the guest bedroom, but it was plain.

And there was nothing to do in there.

I had inherited quite a lot of money from my Aunt appsrently, and the house.

I was to move back in there tomorrow.

Although i was supposed to live with an adult.

But they all know no one will adopt or foster a 16 Year old.

So Sheriff Burke is allowing me to live alone with someone visiting me once a week.

I buried my aunt and cousins three days ago.

They all had one small funeral, buried next to each other.

It was just me, Randy and Mrs Meeks that attended though.

I could understand Sidney's absence but everyone else? No.

I got up and walked to the phone before punching in a number.

"Hello?"

"Hey Casey" i smile at my reflection opposite me. I had regained the weight i lost.

"Hey Vina..." She trails off awkwardly.

"So how are you and Steve?" I ask her casually.

"We're good, happy. How are you?" She asks.

"I mean my family are all dead and all my friends are avoiding me apart from Randy, so what is up with that Case?" I ask, annoyed.

"Vina, i split from the group, being near them was too awkward, and sorry i didn't know what to say to you"

"Okay."

"Vin-" i cut her off.

"See you at school" i would be returning on Monday, it was Saturday night.

I hang up and walk into the guest bedroom.

I didn't want to watch the rest of the movies, i just wanted to sleep.

I close my eyes and hug my panda teddy.
