Chapter 3 - The Battle of Gim

November 9, 1956/1626

City of Gim, Principality of Qua-Toyne

The city of Gim, is an essential city located near the border of Qua-Toyne and Louria.

The city was home to more than 5,000 citizens and was a garrison base for Qua-Toyne on the border, despite being neglected at times.

There was a report coming from an air base miles away about the mobilization of Lourian's army, and Gim was placed in a state of emergency and the civilians were evacuated.

The commander of the Gim garrison, Moizi, has already put his 1000 men to work.

500 helped civilians and prepared their vehicles to evacuate.

The other 500 prepared the city's defenses.

Moizi knows very well that they have limited supplies to use, so they would hold out for as long as possible, inflict as much damage on the Lourian invasion forces as possible, and when the supplies run out, they would evacuate and burn Gim, so that the Lourian invaders could not use the city for your war of conquest.

Moizi: "Hurry up boys!! Get moving! We don't have much time!!"

Field artillery and mortars were prepared on the walls of the front gate, and men placed hundreds of sandbags on the field.

More than 12 75mm Colt M1877 field guns and 13 155mm Colt M1904 field guns.

5 105mm Colt M1895 mortars, 5 60mm Winchester M1900 mortars and 5 95mm CBC M1918 mortars were prepared in the field.

Machine guns were placed in the sandbags:

Maxim M1890 7.62x54mm, Winchester M1895 7.62x54mm, Colt M1900 7.62X54mm, Browning M1908 .50 and Browning M1918 14.5mm.

All were placed in strategic locations to maximize enemy casualties.

And the troops ran all over the field to prepare everything they needed to fight against the Lourians.

Moizi: "Quickly!!! How many trucks left the city?"

Soldier #243: "More than 25 sir, we still have 10 carrying the civilians."

Moizi: "Tell them to charge faster! The Lourians are coming!"

The soldier saluted Moizi and quickly went to the convoy of trucks.

He turned his head to see the anti-aircraft vehicles being brought onto the field:

15 40mm Dodge AA M101 trucks.

10 55mm FNM AA M105 armored trucks.

5 75mm Mack AA M114 trucks.

5 88mm White AA M118 trucks.

Everyone is almost ready, then a soldier shouts a word loudly.

Soldier #113: "WYVERNS!!!"

All the soldiers immediately looked over and saw a squad of dragon riders heading towards Gim.

They quickly took up their positions and the air raid sirens sounded.

Moizi: "MOVE! MOVE! TO YOUR POSITION!!!"

Everyone went to their positions and they all took their weapons:

Colt M1899, Browning M1885, IMBEL M18 RAT, Springfield M1890, Browning M1916, Thompson M1921, IMBEL M1905, IMBEL M1931, Colt M1936, Thompson M1939, CBC M33, CBC M1925, TAURUS M1942 and TAURUS M1917V6.

Moizi took his own M1899 and his TAURUS M1895 pistol and went to the AAs.

He then looked up to the sky to see the Lourian wyverns arriving.
