Laying on your back, you turned over, sending a glance at the time. 9 pm. Attempting to close your eyes, you let out a deep sigh. Without Jenna home there wasn't really any point on doing anything.

As if on perfect timing you felt your phone buzz, the ding coming with it. Taking it out of your pocket, you opened up snap chat.

You couldn't help but smile at the little bear tucked into her shirt, wondering if he would be coming home with her.

You sent a snap back, expressing your excitement before flopping back down, though you should probably have been making dinner.

Eventually you dragged yourself out of bed, wandering downstairs and into the kitchen. By the time you had pasta in the water, the sound of keys rattling the doorknob informed you that she had arrived.

"Is that freshly cut tomatoes?" Jenna asked the moment she stepped in the door, her bag dropping beside her.

"Their already in the pot."

"Damn it."

You felt wind hush behind you and Jenna's arms wrap around your waist as you stirred the tomato sauce. A small black nailed finger dipped in, quickly shaking off the heat and popping into its owners mouth.

"Needs more spice."

"That's because I haven't added any hot peppers yet little miss eager."

"Well you should."

"Can you go stir the noodles than?"

Jenna stirred the noodles quite effectively as you started to cut up habaneros, tossing them into pot, noticing right away adding two may as well just burn off your tongue. Jenna on the other hand would be rather pleased, as she was fairly unfazed by heat. (Cue the hot ones challenge).

"Wash your hands," Jenna quickly chimed in as you reached up to rub the hair out of your face.

"Good idea."

Once the chilli was made, the meat for you sitting on the side, the two of you sat down, Jenna scrunching her nose as you sprinkled the ground beef over top.

"You eat fish I don't wanna see that face."

"For nutrition alone."

"It's not that bad Jen."

She imitated a gag. "Disgusting."

The two of you ate in near silence, Jenna occasionally grinning wildly at you, clearly exited to be home after a full day at work. The bear was in fact, still in her shirt.

"Soooo, game night after this."

Her face fell. "Y/NNNNN! I do not want you to whip my but in scrabble again. I have far too much trauma from last year."

"It's not my fault you don't have a masters in English!"

"Says the English teacher."

"Says the author."

Jenna rolled her eyes. "Fine, you win, but I do not want to see Oxyphenbutazone take its turn on the bord this year."

"1,778 points."

"I hate you."

Leaning across the table, you attempted to grab her hand dramatically, instead getting slapped in the face with a very wet and saucy noodle.

"How rude!"

"I wouldn't recommend getting the sauce in your eye."

You took out a napkin, whipping it away. "Yea yea."

"I will beat you this time."

"As you wish ma'am."
