Parth's POV

Sharvi and I found ourselves at our beloved cafe, nostalgia washing over us.

My heart swelled with amazement as she led me here. A decade had passed since I last set foot in this place, and returning now felt like a revitalizing breath of fresh air.

Taking our seats at the very table where we had shared countless memories, I couldn't help but reminisce about our first visit.

It was Sharvi's 18th birthday, a day marred by disappointing exam results. The foolish girl had cried all evening. My heart was aching seeing her so down on this special occasion.

It was around eight when I had asked her what I could do to turn her day around. Her response was simple but heartfelt, "I want sandwiches like my mom used to make. She made them on every birthday of mine, because I loved them. This is the first time I haven't had them."

I had readily agreed, and together we had embarked on a quest to find the perfect sandwich. We had visited numerous cafes, sampling sandwiches from each, but none quite lived up to her expectations.

Finally, around 9:30, we arrived at this very place. Moonshine Cafe. We had taken our seats and placed an order for sandwiches. To our utter delight, they had proved to be nothing short of exquisite, delighting both her and me.

Reflecting on that memorable day, I asked her, "So, do you still have your mom's sandwich on your birthday?"

She smiled, but there was a hint of sadness in her eyes.

She shook her head, and I noticed something unnatural in her smile.

It wasn't the way Sharvi smiled!

I asked her, "So, what did you do today?"

She replied, "Not much, just a visit to the temple, a day at the office, and a small lunch with a few friends. That's it!"

"That's it?" I thought to myself.

Was she still the same girl I once knew? I couldn't forget how she used to eagerly await her birthday for a whole month, and on the special day, all she wanted was to be the center of the universe, with the world showering her with attention.

How her birthday celebrations turned into something so modest!

Our sandwiches arrived promptly, and the kind owner surprised us with steaming cups of coffee and a generous plate of creamy white pasta.
