Raven's POV
"I don't think it's ever rained this much in the history of Texas." Sam says as she looks out the windows of the house everyone's chilling in.
We're in Arlington ahead of our first friendly of the April international window.
"I wish I could nap like that." Tierna says as she looks at Freya who's napping on me.
"You should see her when she naps with her doggies." I say. "Freya sleeps like a log with them."
"Why does Freya always sleep during team bonding time?" Mal questions.
"Because she can." Jaelin says.
"She also helped coordinate a rescue squad that helped free 35 kids from a group of sex traffickers yesterday." I say. "So I think she deserves a little rest."
"Seems like a killer like her should be use to getting little sleep." Kelley says.
"Well you're a loud mouth cunt who never listens, disrespects peoples boundaries, and cheated with a married woman that lead to that married woman's husband dying of a broken heart." Sophia says causing a lot of people's jaws to drop. "So maybe you should shut the fuck up and let the woman who kills rapist, pedophiles, terrorists, pirates, and many other bad people sleep."
"Sophia..." Kelley says.
"Shut up Kelley." Sophia says. "I'm fucking tired of you, Lindsey, Sonnett, and Mal shitting on my friends."
"This isn't gonna be good." Naomi mumbles.
"You bitches need to realize we're starting to fucking hate you." Sophia says. "You all shit on them for no fucking reason at all."
Sophia does not play about her friends.
"So what she's had to kill people." Sophia says. "That's her fucking job."
"Her job is to play football Sophia." Lindsey says.
"No football's her escape." Sophia says. "She'd probably play for free if she had too."
"Football was the one place her father never bothered her when she was growing up so it's where she goes to forget about everything." Jaelin says.
"And you're fucking that up." Sophia says.
"Preach." Freya mumbles so I softly smack her ass then my girlfriend goes back to sleep.
"You're also fucking it up for Azura, Katana, Sahara, Aurora, and Talia." Sophia says.
"Can I say it?" Alex questions as she looks at all of us.
"Yeah." Us players and the coaching staff say.
"You all do know you're only still on this team because of Azura, Freya, Katana, and Talia?" Alex questions.
"Excuse me?" Mal says.
"Cairo was ready to kick all of you off the team after your little outburst in February in Miami." Alex says.
Lindsey, Kelley, Sonnett, and Mal went to dinner together on an off night in Miami during SheBelieves and they were recorded by fans.
In the video you could hear them shit talking Azura, Freya, Katana, and Talia.
Needless to say the video went viral and instead of reprimanding Lindsey, Kelley, Sonnett, and Mal like Cairo did, US Soccer protected the four women by not making them do media duties when they're with the national team.
After Cairo saw the video she went off on the ladies.
From what we heard through the walls the main message was yes you can have opinions on your teammates but you never voice those opinions in public where you can't control who hears.
"After Cairo had her chat with you she texted all of us and asked who we wanted to keep on the team." Alex says. "You four or Azura, Freya, Katana, and Talia."
"And we all voted for Azura, Freya, Katana, and Talia." Lynn Williams says.
"But the four of them told Cairo to give you all one last chance to see if you would change like you said you would." Julie says.
"But you fucking haven't." Sophia says. "And I am tired of seeing my friend get depressed when she comes to international duty."
"You know she's thought about retiring." I say causing everyone to look at me. "Freya loves football, but you all are making her hate it so thanks for that."
"We're allowed to have opinions." Lindsey says.
"Yes, but you don't have to fucking voice them every fucking time Azura, Freya, Katana, or Talia walk into a room you're in." Crystal says then Freya's phone rings.
"Mmmmm." Freya groans as she grabs it then she puts her phone to her ear. "Hello?"
Seconds later Freya quickly sits up causing everyone to look at her
"Come again?" Freya says then I hear a faint speaking
Wordlessly Freya hands me the phone.
"Uh Hello?" I say as I watch Freya get off me.
"Raven?" Everest says as I sit up.
"What's going on?" I question then Everest sighs.
"We found Caroline."
"Holy fuck." I say.
Caroline is Freya's best friend that was kidnapped.
"We're bringing her home in a casket."
"Fuck." I say.
"Yeah." Everest says then I look at Azura and motion her to take Freya's gun from her.
Azura quickly does as asked then she hands me the gun and disappears.
"I'll have Freya call you back." I say as I stand up and put my girlfriend's gun in the waistband of my sweats.
"Okay." Everest says then I hang up.
"Shit." I mumble then I look up, but I don't see Freya. "Where'd she go?"
Adelaide points behind me and I see Freya being hugged by Emma, Talia, Katana, and Azura.
"What's going on?" Sophia asks.
"They found Freya's friend Caroline." I say.
Caroline's family went on national tv a few weeks ago to plead for any information on the whereabouts of their daughter and we were in SheBelives camp at the time and everyone saw Freya in one of the picture that was shown on tv then the four idiots pestered Freya until she exploded.
During Freya's explosion she told everyone about her friend.
I really really dislike the four idiots.
"Oh good." Sofia Huerta says with a smile.
"Caroline's coming home in a casket."
"Not good." Sofia says.
"Not good at all Sofia." I say as I start to walk over to my girlfriend. "Not good at all."
