Averie's POV
The next morning, the sun streamed through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room. I woke up to the gentle rustle of Olivia, who had decided to stay by my side. The soft purring was a reassuring presence, and I smiled, feeling a bit more at home in this unfamiliar place. Daisy said hello to Olivia as we cuddled for a little. Olivia doesn't really like cuddling like how Taylor cuddles with me, so I just lay next to her. I know that because I tried it and she tried to bite me. I won't make that mistake again. I don't know how Taylor carries them around, she must be super brave.

As I ventured out of the room, Taylor and Daddy were already up, sipping on coffee in the kitchen. Taylor's smile greeted me, and she motioned for me to join them. The aroma of breakfast filled the air, and I couldn't help but be excited. Food is wonderful especially when Daddy isn't cooking.

"Good morning, Nugget!" Daddy beamed as he kissed my cheek once I settled in Taylor's arms.

"Good morning, did you know that Olivia stayed in my bed?" I couldn't help but slightly brag.

"I didn't but that's so cool," Taylor's smile grew. (A/n: Taylor definitely didn't drop Olivia off in there midway through the night after collecting Olivia from the living room.)

"Yeah!" I cheered.

We sat inside for breakfast and I talked to Selena. She's very funny and Taylor said we share the same star signs. I don't know what that means but I guess it's cool. Selena thought my Daisy was cool and laughed at some of my stories. I would've shown her my iPad but Daddy said we don't need it here since there's so much to do.

Later, we revisited the beach, and this time, the waves were a little more cool. We were all dressed in swimwear or at least I was. Some of the adults, mainly the girls, had some clothes over theirs for some reason. Selena held my hand as we walked along the shore, the sand warm beneath our feet.

"Can I go now?" I asked for the zillionth time.

"Nope," Selena sighed. I feel like she may not like me asking every five seconds.

"How about now?" I replied after waiting approximately three seconds.

"My answer hasn't changed, buddy," Selena confirmed making me whine as I pulled her arm more towards the water. I wanted to play in the water but the boring adults were still setting up some chairs, a volleyball net, and a pack'n'play for the baby. However James was playing in the water with Taylor, so why can't I do that?

I wiggled my arm to get free after the millionth time she told me no and made a run for it. I thought it was Selena who picked me up and out of the thigh-high water I had wandered into, but it was Taylor and that was scarier. "Put me down! Stranger danger!" I squealed, squirming in her hold.

"Averie, Selena told you no. We're waiting for your Daddy to bring your sunscreen but you didn't listen so now it's gonna take even longer since you're partially wet," Taylor was firm as she carried me back to where everyone else was.

"That's not fair," I huffed, "James is playing!"

"It's very fair. You didn't listen so you're going to have to learn to be patient," Taylor grumbled.

"No, I am patient!" I protested, then Daddy came out of nowhere and I cowered into Taylor as she explained what happened. She passed me over to Daddy who pulled me aside from the group.

"Nugget, why did you run into the ocean?" He asked, a hint of anger underneath.

"Cause I wanted to," I mumbled. I don't wanna be in trouble.
