Season 3 x 06
Still Positive

"what's up?" i asked as peter opened the door for me.
"wanted to see you"
"why?" i smiled
"i don't know, cass"
i stepped inside the apartment.
"i want out"
"of the cia?"
he nodded his head
"you've been there for over a decade, just what happened in venezuela is setting you off?"
"no"
"what else?"
"a man today shot his step daughter in the head and beat his wife to death with a broken wine bottle"
"left a baby alone in the house, too"
"fuck" i scoffed
"nothing in my life justifies the damage i do to people"
"the fucking shit i do and deal with everyday"
"you're not a dangerous person, quinn"
"but this is what i do, cass"
"at least you realize that it's a problem"
"but why do i still do it everyday?"
i shrugged
"i want out" he sighed
i stepped closer to him, stroking my hand across his face. his eyes trailed around my face and down to my body.
"fuck" he whispered, snaking an arm around me.
"it's okay quinn" i said, before pressing my lips into his.

the next morning ——————————

i rolled myself over. i was in quinn's bed. he wasn't there though. i rubbed my eyes, looking at the clock. it was only 10, i had work at noon.
bent over, i picked up my scattered clothes and started putting them back on. i overheard him talking to someone in the other room.
i put on my shirt, then my shoes, looking in the mirror. i ran my hand through my hair and wiped the smeared mascara from under my eye.
"fuck" i heard quinn groan as the front door closed.
i peered out of the bedroom and into the kitchen where peter was.
"what happened?"
"last night i was caught on a neighbour's surveillance"
"at the house where-"
"yeah" he nodded
"the police will be looking for me"
"i'm sorry"
i stepped closer to him.
"nothing bad will happen to me, just the cover being blown"
"doesn't make any of this shit better" he smiled
"i don't know what to say"
"i'm sorry quinn, i am"
he nodded his head.
"i know, cass"
