The Quest of Middle Earth

Chapter 18

That night, they planned to rescue Galasdir and defeat the queen. Gladiolus will be the eagles eyes for the scene as he watched the surrounding and signs. Kristen and Aiden will break through the southern part of the dungeons since it is the weakest part of the place. The rest except William  and Sabriel. They were entering through the main entrance. The rest were now put into the dungeons so the guards there were empty.

"We need to wait for the signal." said William.

Then, a howl was heard from far. That is the signal. They then entered into the hallways to search. The hallway were dark and cold. Then, they hid in the pillars as they saw two guards were guarding the way. Sabriel went to tap their shoulders. The guard turned, gave her a confuse look and William from the back hit them with a golden vase. They then dragged the two guards aside.

"Quick, before anyone sees." said Sabriel.

William turned and looked n their left. Sabriel followed it as well and saw a young adviser, scared and look as if he nearly wanted to run away. Sabriel gave him a nervous smile and there was a dead silence.

"GUARDS! WE HAVE BEEN INTRUDE! GUARDS!" yelled the adviser. 

"Oh no..." said William as he saw the guards outnumbered them and they raise heir hands.

In the dungeons,

"I told you the plan will never work." sighed Kristen.

"You did not listen!" gritted Aiden. Then, he was cut of by the sound of the screeching door. The guards went to put Sabriel and William into the dungeons. It was colder than expected. 

For hours, they sat in the cell without one noise. Then, chance came by.

"How are we to get out from here ?" asked Smithy.

"That is it !" said Sabriel. She then hoot to William. William knew and begun to plan something.It is like a message through the sound of the owls. They had learn during their adventures.

"Aiden, why did I even trust you for the plan. I could have plan it through." sighed William.

"Excuse me? Are you offending my planning skills?" asked Aiden in disbelieve. 

"I thought the elves excel in battle strategy." said William.

Then, the argument broke in the dungeons. Sabriel smirked as her plan worked.

"Hey, pine head!" called Sabriel at the guards. "Can't you control the noises of the dungeons? It is indeed really noisy. I would suggest you to tape their mouth." 

"Sabriel! Why are you doing this?" yelled everyone except William.

"That is a great idea. What will I do in offer you in return?" asked the guard.

"Perhaps you kiss me." said Sabriel.

The guard leaned against the door to kiss Sabriel's cheek and with that she hit him at the back of his skull made him unconscious. 

"So, that was the plan." said Wizzle.

She took the keys and unlocked the doors. She passed it to Anderson.

"William and Kristen follow me." said Sabriel.

The guards then entered and the battle begun. Anderson, Wizzle and Aiden cleared their path.

"William! Kristen!" called Sabriel.

They slipped of from the battle and went to the throne room. They barged in and killed who ever is in their way. 

"You are to surrender yourself, Queen Salucia!" demanded Kristen.

"WHO ARE YOU TO DEMAND ME IN MY PRESENCE?" yelled the queen.

"YOU ARE TO SURRENDER THROUGH YOUR CRIMES, Witch!" said Sabriel.

"Ah, Sabriel. Long as you wonder in the wilderness. I too could not realized that sooner or later.

"THAT DOES NOT MATTER! RELEASE MY FRIENDS!" demanded Sabriel.

"What friends?" asked the queen.

"DO NOT ACT AS IF YOU WERE INNOCENT! RETURN THEM!" demanded Sabriel.

"Ah, guards bring my prisoner!" ordered the queen. 

A few minutes later, Helena appeared , holing Galasdir in chain. Sabriel gasped to see his condition. Bloody and bruise everywhere.

"Galasdir! What have you done?!" exclaimed Kristen.

"I was just teaching this little rat to respect the royal." smirked the queen. 

Sabriel do not care and want to free him but Helena held her sword and pointed at her. Sabriel noticed that and whispered something to her but Helena pushed her away. Kristen drew her sword and fought with Helena as she want to hurt Sabriel. William then attacked the queen. Sabriel then drew her sword even though she was kill but not in the hands of the witch. Soon, Sabriel twisted her wrist and kicked her knee made the queen knelt. 

"Game over." With that, Sabriel slashed the head of the witch and that is the end of the evil times in the kingdom. Everything turned bright and shone. The snow begun to melt away. Helena fell onto the ground. Sabriel looked around and dropped the dagger on the ground.

"Send someone to clear this mess." said Sabriel to the other guards whom they were now afraid of her. "Send the healers to attend the injured."

With that, she ignored everything, walked back to her old room and isolate herself in the room for she felt something that had heavy her heart.
