All life on the surface of Earth perishes in the death throes of Armageddon.  Thousands of nuclear detonations on and around Earth also draw the attention humankind's ancient nemesis and they send scout ships to investigate. After scouts arrive to survey the carnage, they become curious about mysterious self-harming mining vessels and other strange happenings.

The Emeny have witnessed the aftereffects of emerging civilisations who self-destruct on countless occasions and the call to assemble is sent out across the Galaxy. Unknown to humankind, the alien enemy had begun to gather stealthily, slowly encapsulating the SOL System, in a formation that will prevent escape in any direction. They wait and watch as their numbers are reinforced.

The human fleet of warships are decimated during the first battle with the enemy, but at the critical moment, the GRAV Ship, SP1 arrives and joins the battle. SP1 witnesses the human fleet being decimated and ejects a 'Black Hole' into the centre of the attacking enemy fleet before releasing its containment field.

The Black Hole's powerful gravity is unleashed and if reaches out to claw the enemy attack fleet to their doom, but also... every particle of matter in local space that could not move out of harm's way is pulled into the Black Hole to be crushed and shattered into sub-atomic particles that compact against its inner neutronium core.

Matt had won Humankind's first battle against its Alien Nemesis, but at a terrible cost. Matt must retreat from Jupiter with the remainder of his fleet to high Luna orbit to lick his wounds, but scenario has not changed. The Enemy numbers still increase and after dust settles, Matt is left with one question burning like acid in his mind: "What can he possibly do against such an overwhelming number of highly advanced enemy warships?"
