Master of the Mountain: Chapter 10 - The Son of Lilly

Once Cole and the Skull's Sorcerer's weapon collided, Cole rams himself into the evil king and pushes him far back on the ground. The Skull Sorcerer yells and throws Cole aside, while the skeletal dragon joined its master and unleashes a blast of fire at Cole.

Cole successfully draws his shield and blocks the attack, but he wasn't strong enough against the flames. He was sent almost tumbling over the edge, while his shield was sent down.

"Destroy the others!" The Skull Sorcerer orders his dragon. "I will take care of this one personally." Grief Bringer roars and flies towards the battlefield, where the Ninja were relentlessly fighting the Skull warriors.

Murtessa notices the dragon. "Stand your ground! In the name of Milly!" She warns the others. Lloyd looks up and sees the dragon, who was now spewing its green fire.

"TAKE COVER!"

"I got this!" She summons her magic, and commands it to effortlessly create a force field to protect her friends and the tribes in the surrounding area. However, the Skull warriors didn't have that protection, and were met with the flames itself.

The dragon stops breathing fire after a moment. The Ninja and the tribes scatter. Kai gets behind the dragon. "Hey!" That caught its attention. Good. Kai runs towards Grief Bringer and performs his Spinjitzu against it, but it lashes its tail at the Fire Ninja.

Kai hits a nearby rock. He wasn't able to react when Grief Bringer roars in his face. Zane picks up a nearby pickaxe and throws it at the dragon. "HEY! YOU!" He spins around, and picks up another pickaze, and throws it at the dragon again.

The dragon, unfazed, leaps up in the air and charges at Zane, who manages to ride on the back of a nearby Mino. The Mino circles back for Kai with Grief Bringer hot on their tails. While Grief Bringer breathes fire, they manage to escape into a nearby mine.

Cole was struggling to pick himself up. "You're a fool to place your faith in the Blades!" The Skull Sorcerer uses his to hit Cole's hand. "They have no magic in them."

Cole gets out a small shuriken from the back of his gi. "You're lying! You're trying to trick me!" The Skull Sorcerer spins its blade, just in time for Cole to throw his small throwing star at him. While he was distracted, Cole picks himself back up and kicks the Skull Sorcerer right in the chest.

He grabs the two blades, while the skull goes up to him and sends a blast of fire at him. "It is the truth, and your demise!" Cole was about to charge at him again, but the skull sends him back down again and again. Their blades collided.

Meanwhile Korgran was surrounded by a small group of Skull warriors. He manages to hit them just enough for him to escape through a small opening. Fungus and Katarina were using their weapons and magic to fend off an incoming troop of Skull warriors. Fungus throws two potion bags at them, which exploded upon impact, while Katarina uses her magic to send fireballs at them.

Plundar was using hand-to-hand combat against the Skull warriors with relative ease. Every now and then, he would use one of their limbs to attack them and send them ricoheting off one another. Adam uses its webs to pick the warriors up by surprise to eat them and sends shoots of web towards unexpecting warriors.

"They just keep coming!" Plundar says, a bit out of breath, to Katarina and Fungus.

"And resurrecting. Our attacks are fruitless against them!" Katarina adds. Skull warriors throw their spears at the giant spider, whose web was cut off from the ceiling and caused the giant spider to fall down.

Plundar screams. "ADAM!" Fungus throws another potion bag at another warrior. Plundar breathes a sigh of relief when the spider manages to pick itself back up, unfazed. Fungus huffs. Large troops of Skull warriors hiss at the trio. "I'm not liking these odds!"
