High up in a Vengestone cage of the Vengestone mines, the Ninja look down to see the Geckle and Munce reluctantly working to mine the Vengestone, whilst the Skull warriors kept watch. Nya and Katarina were working hard to get out of their cage.
"Save your strength, Sis. It's Vengestone." Kai tells her. Nya sighs, and looks down at the Munce solemnly.
"The Munce had faith in me, and now look at them. Right back where they were. In chains. I can't believe we were gullible enough to trust the Skull Sorcerer."
"Yep. I'm probably going down as the worst Chancellor in Geckle history." Kai groans.
"I do not see that we had any choice." Zane points out.
"Zane's right," Jay says. "If we hadn't surrendered, he would have destroyed all of them." Katarina summons her demon form and rams herself against the cage, causing the cage to shake violently.
"If we hadn't surrendered, we would have stood a fighting chance against the Skull Sorcerer and his army," She growls. She looks over her shoulder to glare at Lloyd. "The Geckle and Munce wouldn't be in this position. I warned you the Skull Sorcerer would go back on his word, but you wouldn't listen!"
"At least they're still alive. There's still hope." Lloyd argues. A clap of hands were heard, and the Ninja turn their heads towards the sound. They found it was the Skull Sorcerer with the skull of Hazza D'ur, laughing and applauding the Ninja for their optimism and hope.
"That's the spirit, but unfortunately, there is no hope. I have decided a demonstration is needed to show my true power over this mountain." The Skull Sorcerer explains.
Kai glares at him. "What kind of demonstration?"
The Skull Sorcerer looks down at the tribes. "For too long, the Geckles and Munce have resisted my rule. But when they witness your destruction..."
"Destruction!" The skull echoes.
"When all hope is lost..."
"Lost!"
"They will submit."
Jay goes close to the bars and narrows his eyes at the Skull Sorcerer. "What are you gonna do to us?" The Skull Sorcerer could only laugh harder and louder.
"You'll perish at the talons of Grief Bringer!" The Ninja gasp.
"Grief Bringer!" The skull echoes for the third time. Nya sighs.
"Okay, that's getting annoying." She says with irritation.
"Yeah, I don't know who to look at, you or the skull." Kai remarks, gesturing to the aformentioned two.
"I'm looking at the skull, it's not as ugly" Jay laughs.
"Silence!" The Skull Sorcerer commands the Ninja, who shut up immediately. He places his hands behind his back. "Enjoy your final moments of levity."
"They will be your last." The skull finishes. They both fly away slowly from their cage.
"Aren't you forgetting something? Cole and Keres," Lloyd points out. "They're still out there, and if I know them, by now, they've found King Vangelis and told him everything. They're probably on their way to stop you right now."
The Skull Sorcerer stops in his tracks. He manages a false gasp. "Oh, that's right. You don't know." He turns around slowly and cackles as he de-transforms from the Skull Sorcerer to the King of the Ivory City of Shintaro; Vangelis. The Ninja gasp again.
"You?" Lloyd gasps.
"Vangelis?" Nya says, shocked.
"Your friends did come to me," Vangelis flies close to the cage again. "And I cast them into the bowels of the mountain. Them and that old fool, Wu." He transforms back into the Skull Sorcerer. The Ninja could only glare at him.
