I just heard everything that happened from Mingyu. I am panicking, my child is now facing a possible expulsion.

Mingyu: Wonwoo, calm down please...baby

Wonwoo: (gives mingyu a glare because he called him baby, but decided to let it slide due to the serious topic)

Mingyu: I know you are worried, but it will be okay, I am one of the board remember?

Wonwoo: don't you dare use your power Kim Mingyu! I did not raise my son that way!

Mingyu: I know, I know... but I believe my son did that for a very important reason.

Wonwoo: I know Mingyu, I raised him, he is a good kid, but for the love of God a wooden bat! he could have caused more serious injuries!

Hangyul: Dada? Daddy?

Wonwoo: baby...

Hangyul: I am sorry, you are fighting now because of me.

Mingyu: Don't say that baby we are just talking, not fighting because of you.

My son's face looked serious. Had he grown this much? There is not even a single drop of tear on his face, completely different when he got bullied in the states. This time, he looked so strong, mature and ready.

Hangyul: I am sorry for any trouble I have caused, but I will never be sorry for what I did to them.

I got so surprised by what he said my hands just flew on his face, and even when it did, he still did not cry.

Mingyu: Wons!

Hangyul: I am sorry dada, you must be disappointed now.

I tried to calm myself down and sat on the couch and called my son.

Wonwoo: baby, please come here... Dada is sorry okay, for hurting you just now.

That was the very first time I ever hit my son, I hit him to discipline him yet I felt that slap twice more painful inside my heart.

Hangyul: I understand you dada, don't worry I will never be angry at you over it.

Oddly enough, Hangyul still won't tell us the whole story as to why everything escalated like that. It is honestly so frustrating, how will we know how to fight on the board meetings if we did not know the truth.

Later that night, DK and Wonbin came to our house to talk.

DK: Wons, I am very sorry to hear what happened.

Wonwoo: Why DK, it is not your fault, don't apologise!

DK: Well, if i just be more mindful of my own son, I would have known...I am feeling frustrated now Wons(cries)

Wonwoo: I don't understand DK, why what happened?

DK: your son just defended Wonbin from bullies.

Wonbin: (cries) Uncle Wonwoo, If hyung did not come maybe they hurt me. They always bully me at school.

Wonwoo: aww don't cry baby, it is not your fault.

Wonbin; I did not want to tell my dada because I know he does not want to talk about my daddy. I don't wanna see dada cry.

Thinking about how kids who grew with single parents would mature so fast is amazing yet frustrating as a parent. I just felt like these kids had skipped some parts of their childhood because they had to adjust with what is available for them. Usually, kids tell everything to their parents even the pettiest things, yet here, you have a little boy who keeps everything to himself because he knew that raising certain topics could make their parents sad.
