Season 1 Episode 12: The Rise of The Great Devourer

At the Destiny's bounty, the ship rocks through a storm, in a cabin, Wu meditates and uses the spirit smoke, he sees the Ninja being surrounded by the serpentine before seeing himself being eaten by the Devourer, in the dining room, Kai, Nya, Jay and (Y/N) keep watch over the four Fangblades
"Why is that Torchfire Mountain is the only place we can destroy the Fangblades?." Nya asked
"Cause the Fangblades are made from the original teeth of the Devourer. They're so strong they can only break down in extraordinary heat." Kai answered
"Then why not get (Y/N) to use his powers on them? I mean his power is literally destruction." Jay asked
"Well for starters, I haven't even unlocked my full powers yet, barely learned the basics, second, even if I could, I could do more harm than good." (Y/N) said as Jay nodded at that
"Sounds reasonable, uh, could someone pass the salt?." Jay asked as the bounty tilts, sliding the salt shaker towards him
"Hey, thanks." Jay thanked the bounty
"Huh, guess ever since we got the Fangblades, we've been on a good roll streak." (Y/N) said as Cole came in green from air sickness
"Please. No one talk about food. How much longer until we get there?." Cole asked groggily
"Not long." Jay said as he glanced at (Y/N) who smirked at Jay and nodded
"Hey Cole. You're looking a little green over there. How'd you like a mucus salt sandwich?." Jay asked as Cole runs outside and vomits, he and (Y/N) high five
"We are terrible people some days." (Y/N) said as Jay chuckled
"Speaking of green, who would've guessed little Lloyd Garmadon turned out to be the Green Ninja?." Jay asked
"I know. He was such a brat at first. It's hard to believe he's gonna become the greatest ninja that ever lived." Nya said as Kai looked around
"Where is that little runt?." Kai asked

Meanwhile in the training deck, Lloyd is seen activating the training course, Lloyd stands in a western drawl, he flips his mask over his face
"Serpentine, it's time I Spinjtizu you back into the filthy holes you came from. Ninja kick! Tiger claw! Ninja! Go!." Lloyd yelled attempting to do Spinjtizu only to fall, Pythor then laughs and turns visible
"What a joke. You were always a boy who chased stupid dreams." Pythor said as Lloyd is surprised
"Pythor! How did you get aboard?." Lloyd asked as he picks up Lloyd
"You think I would allow the ninja to steal the Fangblades from me?." Pythor asked
"Ugh! You'll never get away with it! Hey-
Pythor tapes Lloyd's mother and ties him to a punching bag
"Oh, I wouldn't worry about that. As they say, out of sight, out of mind." Pythor said disappearing as he laughs before leaving

A tour bus passes Torchfire Mountain
"Thanks folks, for choosing the Ninjago Tour Company to see our lands most scenic destinations. And if you look to your left, you'll find Ninjagos very own Torchfire Mountain, where the core of the natural volcano can reach up to three bajillion degrees!." The tour guide man said as the tourist takes photos, a boy sees the bounty
"Mommy, look, a flying ship." The boy pointed at the bounty
"Oh, honey, ships don't fly. Only planes." The mother said
"No, mommy it's a ship." The boy said agitated
"Heh, uh-huh. That's nice honey." The mother said not caring

Back in the bounty Nya could be heard over the com
"Will everyone please place their seat back and tray table in the full upright and locked position? We have reached our destination, Torchfire mountain. Give it a minute to settle into position." Nya said as the bus leaves, the ninja meanwhile leave their cabin with a Fangblade each, (Y/N) walks out with them holding his Sais with him
"Why are you bringing those?." Kai asked pointing at his Sais
"You never know when someone will pull something." (Y/N) smiled as they walked to the edge of the bounty
"It's roasting out here." Jay sighed
"Heh, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." Kai smirked as he and (Y/N) high fives
"Hey, what's with Sensei?." Jay asked
"I do not know. He's been distant all morning." Zane said
"Yeah, that's very unlike Wu." (Y/N) said concerned
"Ah, it is beautiful is it not?." Wu asked
"Sensei, we are ready for the destruction of the Fangblades, yet you seem disinterested." Zane said
"You do not need my approval to finish the task." Wu said
"Uh, but Sensei-
"Butts are for sitting. And besides, there will come a time when you will have to go on without me." Wu said as (Y/N) looked sadly
"Sensei, you're talking crazy. You've been alive for, like, forever." Kai said as Cole nudged him
"Ah, but even the sun must go down so a new day begins." Wu said
"I don't like where this is going." (Y/N) said worried as Wu looked remorseful at him
"And I don't like metaphors. What are you trying to say? Are you leaving us again?." Cole asked
"In meditation, my smoke visions have come to an end, and tomorrow, I cannot see. This worries me." Wu said as (Y/N) looked heartbroken
"Are you saying- please tell me you're joking...
Wu looks at (Y/N) sadly
"I'm sorry (Y/N) but I can't be sure that I will be here forever." Wu said as (Y/N) hugged Wu
"But.... I don't know what to do without you... you have been there since the beginning, I can't lose you, your my dad." (Y/N) said as he welled tears
"You've become a better man then I could ever see, you've done so much and I'm proud of you, all of you, I have done so much and what I have received is anything I could wish for." Wu smiled
"But, what if it could be a good omen. You know. We destroy the Fangblades, then everything's gravy." Jay said hopeful
"Let's just get rid of them, for good." Wu said as they walked over to the plank to destroy them, Pythor meanwhile in the generator room destroys a machine making the bounty unstable, Wu falls off and grabs onto the plank
"Sensei! Hang on. We're coming." Cole said as Wu walks, the ninja just catch him as they chain themselves
"Uh! You're not going anywhere old friend." Cole grunted
"Thank you Cole." Wu said thankful
"How are you holding (Y/N)?." Cole asked as (Y/N) held them
"Peachy! Just don't drop my old man!." (Y/N) grunted as he kept hold
"Argh! Nya what's going on?." Kai asked
"Ah! Someone or something had overridden the system." Nya said as Lloyd manages to escape and rips the tape off his mouth as he reaches the intercom
"Pythors onboard!." Lloyd yelled as his message echoed over the ship, the ninja look back and see Pythor holding the Fangbaldes
"Pythor! You slimy little!...
"Sorry if I don't lend a hand, but I'm really in a rush. Got this whole Devourer thing going on." Pythor chuckles as (Y/N) glared at him
"You are so lucky I don't have a free hand right now." (Y/N) glared at him
"Toodaloo." Pythor laughs as he find Lloyd with a Bo staff
"Where do you think you're going?." Lloyd asked
"Ah, a little cliché, don't you think?." Pythor asked as Lloyd looked confused
"Uh, cliché?." Lloyd asked
"I wouldn't expect a child to understand." Pythor said
"Hey, I've grown up a lot." Lloyd said as he attacks Pythor who dodges
"Hm, puny strength, no fundamentals, sloppy footwork. You think you can defeat me?." Pythor asked
"I'm not trying to defeat you. I'm just trying to keep you busy until the cavalry arrives." Lloyd said as the Samurai mech arrives and walks up to Pythor who slithers back, Lloyd then kicks him
"Haha! I hit him. I hit him, guys!." Lloyd cheered
"Great for you little buddy.... Argh! Kai what did you eat?!." (Y/N) yelled at Kai as he tried to pull them up
"Oh, as much as I would like to play with your overgrown toys. I have a ride to catch." Pythor said as he jumps off the bounty and lands on the rattle copter
"No!." Lloyd yelled
"So long suckers!." Pythor yelled as he flew away
"Don't let go!." Jay yelled at (Y/N)
"Oh really? I thought I'd just let you fall?." (Y/N) grunted as he kept ahold only to lose his grip and fall off but Nya saved them
"Gotcha." Nya said as they sighed in relief
"Nya, you are a literal angel." (Y/N) said as Nya smiled
"You're welcome. Come on, he's getting away." Nya said as they got back onto the bounty
"Look there!." Jay yelled as they saw the Rattle copter
"The city of Ouroboros is miles away, this rattlecopter will never get us there in time. They'll catch up to us." Pythor said
"Don't worry sir. We've already made preparations." Skales said
"What preparations?." Pythor asked as they landed next to the tour bus
"I take it you're pleased?." Skales asked as Pythor smiled
"Very. Very pleased, Skales." Pythor said
Inside the bus the same boy who spotted the bounty sees the snakes
"Mommy, snakes are kicking people off the bus." The boy said
"Don't be silly sweetheart, snakes don't-
Before she could finish the Serpentine board the bus and kick the passenger off. Mezmo finds a chicken dish and takes it
"See mommy? Snakes." The boy said as a man eats a sandwich
"Next stop, Ouroboros!." Pythor announced as they left

Back on the bounty the ninja prepare to go after three Serpentine, Lloyd brings them the Golden weapons
"If Pythor returns the Fangblades to the City of Ouroboros, he'll awaken the Great Devourer." Wu said
"Well, we're not gonna let that happen." Nya said
"Oh, what about me?." Lloyd asked
"We need someone to stay with the bounty." Kai said as Lloyd looks determined
"But did you see me kick him in the face? I'm an asset. I kick butt. And face." Lloyd said kicking a little
"Patience kid. You're too important now that you're the chosen one." Kai said
"Patience, hmm. Ah, the student becomes the teacher." Wu said
"What do you say we play a little catch up?." Jay asked
"It's my favourite game." Cole said
"Ninja! Go!." The ninja summoned their vehicles as (Y/N) hops on the back of the Storm Glider
"I've got him in my sights." Jay said
"Get closer and I can board!." (Y/N) said
Inside the bus the tour guide drives nervously
"Is this some kind of special tour?." He asked
"Oh, shut up and drive." Pythor snapped
"Sir, the ninja are on our tail. They'll catch up with us in no time." Skales said as Pythor snarls
"Ninja." He grabs the microphone
"Good after noon my cold blooded minions. If you look off to your left and behind you, you'll find the ninja. So annoying. So many your stations, chaps! We've got guests. Let's make sure we give them the ride of a lifetime." Pythor said as the Fangpyre turn the bus into a serpentine express
"What is that? A truck?." Kai asked
"Last time I check, trucks don't have tails, or green scales." (Y/N) said
"That is no truck. It is a moving fortress." Wu said  as Cole gets close only for the tail to swipe at him
"Argh!." Cole groaned
"Watch out! How are we supposed to get close to that thing? Bring it on." Kai said as two snake bikes rush towards them
"We've got company, Sensei!." Nya yelled
"Huh? Let me see." Wu said as he destroyed two serpentine vehicles with a weapon
"Oh, this is fun." Wu said while Lloyd pilots the bounty, screaming
"I wish I didn't leave Lloyd behind now." (Y/N) said
"I can drop you off if you like?." Jay asked
"No time, we need to stop them." (Y/N) said
"That is if we can stop them, if we have any chance at getting on that truck, we need to work together." Cole said
"I've got an idea, Jay, (Y/N) follow me. Zane, try to get in close and cool him off." Nya said
"Okay, I'm going in." Zane said getting close enough, he then jumps off his bike
"Ninja! Go!." Zane yelled throwing the shurikens into the hooks of the carriage
"Goodbye." Zane said as he broke it, the carriage detaches
"All right. Nice one Zane, now let's board that truck." Jay said
"We're running out of time. If the ninja stop us from getting to the city of Ouroboros, we may never awaken the Great Devourer." Skales said
"Don't lecture me. Faster." Pythor yelled at the tour man
"I can't. If we drive any faster, the engine could explode." He warned
"Fine, then I'll do it. Get out." Pythor said
"Now?." The man questioned
"Now." Pythor answered
"Ahh!." The man screamed as he jumped off
"I hate snakes." He crossed his arms
"Don't let them reach the front." Pythor demanded
"I'll personally see to it myself." Skales said leaving
Meanwhile the ninja now off their vehicles stand on the top of the truck
"Let's split up. Last one to the front is a rotten ninja." Kai said
"All right." Jay said using Spinjtizu on some serpentine
"Haha! Where'd everyone go?." Jay asked
"Time to cool down." Zane said freezing some snakes
"What? You try fighting up here. Huh?." Kai asked he dangled off the window. Zane looked confused
"Mind if I interrupt?." Nya asked as she fought off some snakes
"Hmm, hold this please." Wu said handing the tea cup to Chokun who held it
"Oh yeah." Chokun said as Wu pours him tea
"Thanks." Chokun smiled as Wu punches him off and catches the cup
"Thank you." Wu said
"Man that was evil." (Y/N) said as he blasted some snakes off the truck, Wu smiled
"You weren't the only one who learnt something for Garmadon." Wu said
"Watch out!." Kai yelled as a sign neared
"Duck! Duck! Duck!." Wu yelled
"I'm trying. I can't." Nya said as they hit the billboard
"Ninja! Go!." The duo yelled as they fought more snakes
"I told you to duck." Wu said
"I don't want to hear it." Nya spoke annoyed
Inside the truck, Cole finds Skales
"End of the line, loser." Skales said
"Watch out." Cole said as he summons his Tread Assault
"No. No, no please!." Skales begged as Cole fired a missile at Skales  who gets blasted off the train, the others escape
"I love this thing." Cole said as Nya opens the roof  and everyone jumps in
"Cole. Good to see you." Wu said
"Good to see you too." Cole said
"Dude, did you blast Skales out with the Tread?." (Y/N) asked
"Yeah." Cole said as they fist bumped
"My dude!." (Y/N) chuckled
"Woah!." Kai yells as Zane catches him
"Heh, nice catch Zane." Jay said as they saw the last cart
"Last one's a rotten ninja." Cole said
"Ah so be it. But one more cart to go. Pythors in there with the four Fangblades. Who's first?." Kai asked as Wu entered swiftly and detached the cart
"Sensei!." Jay yelled
"What are you doing?!." Cole yelled
"My destiny is to face Pythor alone. Your destiny is to look after Lloyd." Wu said as the door closes
"This is turning into a habit with him. How do we get off this thing?." Kai asked
Meanwhile Lloyd sees the lost city
"Ah! The lost city of Ouroboros." Lloyd drives faster
Meanwhile Wu and Pythor have a stand off
"This ends now!." Wu yelled
"So be it." Pythor said

Meanwhile at the stopped truck Cole yawns
"This is really boring." Nya said as (Y/N) looked ahead
"The lost city is not far from here, I fear we may have lost." (Y/N) said as Lloyd anchors the train
"Lloyd!." They said excited
"I knew you could do it little buddy!." (Y/N) cheered as Lloyd smiled
"Hook, line and sinker." Lloyd said
"To Ouroboros as fast as you can." Kai said
"Aye aye captain." Lloyd flew
Meanwhile Wu and Pythor fight each other, Pythor tries to bite Wu's head, but Wu stomps on his tail freeing himself
"Ninja! Go!." Wu yelled as used Spinjtizu on Pythor who hits him a few times, he then knocks Wu out of it
"You're getting slow old man." Pythor said as the engine explodes knocking the bus to its side, Pythor awakes outside and slithers to the city, he then gets to the statue
"Finally, the Great Devourer will be awakened." Pythor said as he inserted the Fangblades
"Perfect." Pythor laughed as venom poured out of the statue
"It's working! Awaken, great one! Awaken the insatiable appetite of the beast that will consume all of Ninjago!." Pythor yelled
"What have you done!?." Wu yelled behind him
"Don't you see? Releasing the Great Devourer is the only way to get back at the people of Ninjago for locking my kind underground for all those years. We should have been the ones ruling the surface, not you!." Pythor yelled
"You are playing with a power that cannot be controlled. It will consume everything, even the Serpentine." Wu said
"Unleash, Great Devourer, and be free to do my bidding, for I have awakened you!." Pythor yelled
Meanwhile outside, the bounty arrived
"Okay, Lloyd. Put us down right after that truck." Kai ordered as they run off
"Wait up, guys." Lloyd said following behind
Back inside, the statue crumbles
"No, no, it isn't inside the statue? Then where is it?." Pythor asked as the ground beneath he. Rumbles
"Aah! It's so big!." Pythor yelled as the floor started breaking, revealing its red eyes, he tried to flee, but Wu grabs his arm
"You shall stay to see what you have done." Wu said
"Ahh! Let me go. You fool! Don't you see? It's underneath us!." Pythor yelled
"This is our destiny." Wu said as the ninja run next in the entrance
"What's going on? Who's that creature underground?." Kai asked
"The Devourer." (Y/N) said scared as he moved back, grabbing Lloyd's arm
"You must do everything in your power to stop the Great Devourer. Go ninja! Go!." Wu yelled as the great Devourer emerged from the ground, it roars loudly as lightning strikes
"No, Sensei." Kai yelled
"Good bye son." Wu said looking at (Y/N) one last time who started to drop tears
Wu looks up at the Devourer, the Devourer then lunges at the duo, Wu closes his eyes as pythor screams as they are eaten
"DAD!." (Y/N) screamed as everyone gasps
