Season 1 Episode 13: Day of the Great Devourer

The Ninja watch as Wu stays behind holding Pythor
"You must do everything in your power to stop the Great Devourer. Go ninja! Go!." Wu said looking at (Y/N) who welled tears
"Good bye son." Wu said looking at (Y/N) one last time
The Devourer then lunges at the duo, Pythor screams as Wu closes his eyes as they are eaten and swallowed
"Sensei." Kai said sadly and unbelievable
"No." Jay said sadly as the Devourer spots them
"Oh, maybe if we stand perfectly still..
"Jay this isn't a movie." (Y/N) said scared as he slowly backs up holding Lloyd
"Run!." Kai yelled as they ran away, (Y/N) carries Lloyd, as Jay trips over but gets up quickly and runs
"Wait! Wait for me!." Jay yelled as he ran faster, he then jumps into the bounty
"Fire up the engines. I said Fire up the engines!." Nya yelled
"There's no wind. And we only have reserved fuel." Lloyd said
"Use it." Nya demanded
"Uh, hate to tell you this, but objects in the mirror are closer than they appear." Jay said as he saw the Devourer rapidly approaching
"Shut up Jay! This isn't the time!." (Y/N) yelled as he helped Nya
"Blasters on full." Nya said as they flew off
"Whoo-hoo! Take that you stupid snake." Kai said as the snake got closer and angrier
"Uh, I think it heard you." Jay said
"Way to go Kai." (Y/N) glared at him
"Nya, we gotta go faster. That thing is gaining on us." Kai said
"We're going as fast as we can. I'll try to make it to Scattered Canyon." Nya said
"I'll head out and try to buy us some more time." (Y/N) as he ran outside and blasted the Devourer with his powers
"Probability of us making it that far is less than 8 precent, even with (Y/N) slowing it down, the chances are still low." Zane said
"Never tell me the odds!." Nya yelled
"It's coming in for another attack. Port side." Cole said as Nya dodged at the last second, (Y/N) grabs the railing
"I hope we have a plan." (Y/N) hoped as he continued his attack
"We're losing speed. We'll drop to the ground pretty soon." Lloyd said looking at the monitor
"Throw everything overboard." Nya said as they looked confused
"What?." They asked
"We need to lose some weight." Nya said
"Port side!." Lloyd yelled as the ship dodged again
The ninja then ran out and the as many things off, including the fridge, only for the Devourer to eat it all and grow
"Uh, what's this plan exactly? Cause I think feeding it to go to sleep can be crossed off the list." (Y/N) said as he entered the deck
"We need more speed, that's what." Nya said
"Man, he sure is hungry. Does anyone else think the Devourer looks bigger than it did before?." Jay asked
"The more it consume, the bigger it gets. Don't throw anything else overboard." Cole said as Kai threw Wu's teapot off
"Phew, we made it to Scattered Canyons." Nya said as she flew through it
"Hold on!." Nya yelled as they lose the Devourer
"Ah, we lost him." Cole said as the Devourer pops up from the ground and bites an engine off
"Good job Cole! You jinxed it!." (Y/N) yelled
"I didn't think that would happen!." Cole yelled
"Abandon ship!." Nya yelled as the ran to the front, Nya grabs her mech and Lloyd hops on it
"Goodbye old friend." Zane said as they jumped off the bounty, the drive off into a small cave, the bounty crashed onto the ground, where the Devourer pops up and bites it, destroying it and swallowing its remains
"No!." They yelled as the Devourer grew bigger, before going under ground again and heading off
"Uhh, it's gone." Cole said sighing
"Oh, that was too intense. All the action makes you so thirsty." Kai Sat down
"There's no time to rest. We need to warn people before it becomes bigger." Zane said
"Bigger? Bigger?! That thing in one big bite crushed our entire ship! We need to save as many as we can. Uh, Uh, we'll find some kind of refuge, somewhere safe to hide, ohh, the serpentine tombs. Yeah, they're underground. Sure we'll be without sunlight for months, but they're perfect." Jay said
"And what? Just give up?." Cole asked
"You know as well as I do, we have no chance at stopping that thing!." Jay yelled
"Enough!." (Y/N) yelled breaking the duos fighting
"Listen to yourselves! This isn't what Sensei would want. He trained us to be Ninjagos protectors, if we run and hide, then we are tarnishing what he did for us, we may not have a fight chance, but when have we? We faced skeletons without any idea what we had to do, we faced the Serpentine without any idea what we're doing, yet we still fight, why? Cause of Wu and his teachings, he may not be here any more, and it hurts, but we aren't giving up now, no matter the odds, we kept fighting, even after we lost, this is what Wu would want us to do. To keep the good fight going, so more can have a life safely, that's what Wu would want us to do." (Y/N) said as they all looked at him
"(Y/N)'s right, Wu would want us to continue the good fight." Kai said
"But how do we destroy and make of that magnitude?." Zane asked
"Yeah, it's not like we have an extra Scared flute lying around to charm it. Or wait, haha, how about one of our awesome Dragons? Oh, I forgot. They took off and left us high and dry. Or, hey, what about our Golden Weapons? Which will don nothing against a snake that size. Heh, oh, we are so hooped." Jay said
"Ah, Jays right. We would need a weapon so big." Cole said
"Or an idea that's even bigger! Ha! Jay you're a genius!! You thinking what I'm thinking?." Kai asked
"Probably not, but go ahead." Jay said
"There's no time. I'll fill you guys in on the way." Kai said
"Wha- where are we going?." Jay asked
"We're going to destroy that snake once and for all." Kai said

In the graveyard, the serpentine are seen entering the Fangpyre Tomb
"Why did we listen to Pythor? Unleashing the Great Devourer was a horrible idea. It's all your fault." Fangtom blamed Skales
"How was I supposed to know he was mad?." Skales asked
"You were his right hand man. You should've know better. The Devourer will eat us all." Fangtom said as the Devourer approached them, everyone screams as they rush into the tomb
"Out of my way, coward." Skales said rushing in
"You're the coward." Fangtom said as the tomb is closed just as the Devourer thunder pasts by

The ninja meanwhile makes it to Ed and Edna's scrap yard
"Oh I missed this place." (Y/N) smiled
"Good idea Kai. If the Devourer likes to consume, this place is a full on buffet." Cole said praising Kai's idea
"Looks like my parents are gone." Jay sighs
"That's good, if the Devourer shows they'll be safe then." (Y/N) said
"And it's better for us." Kai said as he lays out a blue print on the hood of a car
"It's so awesome." Jay said
"Hey there's a spot for me." (Y/N) smiled
"Yeah, I feel kinda bad you missed out." Kai said smiling before looking at Zane
"Zane, you still have a recording of the scared flute in your memory bank?." Kai asked
"It might've been destroyed earlier, but I have its exact time recorded and ready for playback." Zane said as he plays the recording of the flute
"Good. And there should be enough spare parts around here to build this whopper. But we're gonna need to create our biggest Tornado of creation yet. This is gonna be dangerous and we can't have anyone around." Kai said as the postman arrives whistling
"Ugh, what's he doing here?." Cole asked as he and Kai run up to him
"Ah! You ninja are always sneaking around, giving people heart attack. You're just too quiet." He said
"Hey, that means we mastered stealth." (Y/N) said as he and Jay high fives
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. But you need to get out of here, now." Kai said
"Uh, well, now, I too have a job to do, and that delivering the mail, which I plan to do." The mailman said as he pulls out the walkers mail and Jay takes it
"Look, dude, my parents aren't even here. You really should be on your way." Jay said slightly annoyed
"Them too? Uh, let me guess, are they at the "Take Back Ninjago" rally too?." He asked
"Uh, "Take Back Ninjago" rally?." Jay asked confused
"What, you guys haven't heard? Everyone's getting together for a rally in the city. You know, to raise awareness about all the serpentine problems that have been surfacing lately." The mailman explained
"Huh, that's actually pretty smart." (Y/N) crossed his arms
"Woah, would you look at that. You guys are inspirational." Lloyd said surprised
"Wait a minute, you know what? You guys are right. Wherever you guys are, trouble is always around the corner." He said as the Devourer approaching, they get into battle stances
"I think I'll be leaving now, cause whatever you guys are up to, I want no part of it." The mail man said as he looks behind him to see the Devourer
"Ah! S-s-snake!." He screamed as he jumps into a trash can
"Hey! It's now or never guys! Ninja! Go! Fire!."
"Earth!."
"Lightning!."
"Ice!."
They formed together as junk flies towards them, (Y/N) holds Nyas wrist as Lloyd hides behind a car, as they stop, they created the ultra sonic raider
"Zane, now!." Kai yelled as Zane played the recording only for the Devourer to dodge it
"Zane, what was that? This isn't target practice. You're supposed to hit him, not give him a haircut." Cole spoke annoyed
"May I remind you we just magically whipped up this heap of junk?." Zane asked
"Oh he got you there Cole!." (Y/N) yelled
"Well, I hope one of us created a reverse feature because.... Reverse!." Kai yelled as the Devourer went to attack
"How's this for reverse?." Jay asked as they reverted, just missing the attack
"I need your help holding him in place." Zane said
"How's this?." Jay asked as he used a grappling hook that holds the Devourer
"Got him!." Jay yelled
"Before it gets away! Now Zane! Take the shot!." Kai yelled
"Charm your way out of this." Zane said as he used the recording at the Devourer
"It's working!." Cole yelled as Kai notices a weak spot
"It's got a weak spot." Kai said as he points at the small greet spot on its head
"What?." Cole asked not able to hear Kai
"On its forehead, its go a-
Before Kai could finish he's sentence, the devourers tail struck Zane's cockpit from behind using its tail
"Zane!." They all yelled as the Devourer leaves
"Is everybody okay?." Cole asked
"Where's Zane?." Lloyd asked
"Right here." Zane said as he emerged from his cockpit that was destroyed, the left side of his face is missing revealing the robotics underneath
"That was close." Zane said
"Too close." Kai said
"Perfect. Now that was a total failure." Jay said disappointed
"Not total. Did you guys notice on his forehead? It had a weak spot." Kai said
"So we have a chance." (Y/N) smiled
"Oh, great, let me make a note of that. Gaunt snake had wee, itty- bitty weak spot that'll be TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET AT BECAUSE THE THING IS TOO RIDICULOUSLY HUGE TO DO ANYTHING TO STOP IT!." Jay yelled as he pretend originally pretended to write down notes
"Are you done?." Nya asked annoyed as Jay takes a deep breath
"Yes." Jay responded calmly
"Because things just got worse, look." Nya pointed across the desert which lead to Ninjago city
"It's heading to Ninjago City." Zane said
"That's where my parents are." Jay said
"So is everybody else." Cole said
"If it consume the biggest city in all of Ninjago." Kai said
"Then all hope will be lost." (Y/N) said

Meanwhile at Ninjago a crowd protests
"Hey hey what do we say? We want snakes to slither away! Hey hey what do we say? We want snakes to slither away!....
In the metro part of Ninjago subways
"Huh. That's strange. The system is saying there's a train entering the city on track 9." A man said
"Uh, we don't have any trains entering track 9." Another said
"Well, there's something big coming our way." He said worriedly
In the subway the Devourer emerged itself from the tunnel making everyone scream and run, it the busts through the subway and onto Ninjagos surface, the citizens scream and run, Ed tries to start the Jalopy, but it's broken
"Oh boy, oh gosh, oh golly, oh gosh." Ed panicked and it didn't start
"Mom? Dad? Leave my parents alone!." Jay yelled shooting lightning at the Devourer
"Fire!." Kai yelled blasting fire at it
"Are you getting this?." A reporter asked
"Roll camera." The cameraman said
"Mind if I borrow this?." Cole asked picking up the van and throwing it at the Devourer
"Go ninja go!." The reporter cheered
"Ice!." Zane yelled using ice
"Destruction!." (Y/N) as he sent a powerful blast at the Devourer who gets flung into a building
"Haha, you really are the master of destruction." Jay laughed
The Devourer came back even angrier
"Uh, I think we only made it mad." Jay said as the Devourer roared

Meanwhile in a shop nearby, Garmadon approaches it
"Travellers tea." Garmadon demanded
"Only a fool requests Travellers tea." Mystake said as she turns around to see Garmadon
"But you are not a fool, uh, let me go get some in the back." Mystake said leaving, Garmadon then looks at the tv
"And I am here live, caught in the middle of an epic ninja versus snake battle. People, I have never seen bravery like this before. But I fear the ninja are no match for a beast this size, expect for the Purple Ninja who has managed to push back the giant beast. People are recommended to flee or run away waving their arms wildly whole screaming like little children." The reporter said
The ninja meanwhile are scattered across the ground as the Devourer is pushed back by (Y/N) who increasing gets angrier
"You'll pay for hurting my friends and eating my father!." (Y/N) yelled as the Devourer roared again before smacking (Y/N) down with its tail, (Y/N) goes flying back on the ground, he looked up to see the Devourer about to eat him and the others, only for samurai X to show up and save them by stuffing a lamppost its mouth
"Samurai to the rescue again." Jay said praising
"I love you Nya." (Y/N) said quietly as he watch the mech
"It's breath smells worse than Cole's chilli." Lloyd complained
"Hey!." Cole yelled offended
"I mean, he isn't wrong." (Y/N) said agreeing with Lloyd
"As much as I would love to rip on Coles cooking more, we need a plan." Jay said as Cole glared at him
"Get out of there sis!." Kai yelled
"I can't! I'm stuck!." Nya yelled as the Devourer shakes the mech around, only for the Ultra Dragon to save them
"Rocky! Our Dragons are back." Cole said happily
"It appears Dragons go through a metamorphosis when they reach adulthood. They too have found their True Potential." Zane said
"Ha! They couldn't have come at a better time. Go get them Rocky! Go!." Cole cheered as Shard blasts its head with ice
"Ice!." Zane yelled raising his shurikens, Flame then uses fire
"Fire!." Kai yelled raising his sword, wisp then uses lightning to shock it
"Lightning!." Jay yelled raising his nunchucks as Rocky smashes its head into the Devourer
"Earth!." Cole yelled raising his scythe
"Can Dragons get any cooler? Seriously." Cole asked as the Ultra Dragon continues to attack
"Yes! It's running away!." Kai cheered only for the Devourer to strike the dragon with its tail
"NOOOOOOOOOOO!." They all yelled as the dragon hits the ground
"No!." Cole yelled again
"What now?." Nya asked worried
"I can try to hold it off again." (Y/N) said accessing his powers
"That will do nothing to stop it, little then weaken it." Garmadon said appearing
"You came back!." Lloyd said surprised
"Give me the weapons. I am the only one who can handle the power of all four weapons at once. It's the only thing that'll defeat the Devourer." Garmadon explained
"Uh, I thought we were supposed to do everything in our power not to let him possess the weapons." Jay said
"Look Jay, whatever can stop the Devourer we need to do it, if what he says is true, then we have to trust him." (Y/N) said
"(Y/N) is right. I've ran every other scenario through my servers. It appears to be the only way." Zane said
"Give me the weapons." Garmadon demanded
"Kai?." Zane asked skeptic
"Only I can destroy it. Or prepare to watch-
"Quit your yammering and just do it." Kai said tossing him the sword
"When you have a chance to make the blow, it has a weak spot near his forehead." Kai explained as everyone gave him the weapons excluding Jay who then gives him the weapons
"Uh, I don't think this needs to be said, but we're gonna need these back." Jay said as Garmadon chuckles
"I'll do my part. You just make sure he stays in one spot. Come (Y/N)." Garmadon said much to their surprise
"I thought you were the only one who could destroy the Great Devourer?." Jay asked
"Yes, I am, but with (Y/N) power of destruction with the four weapons, it will destroy the Devourer for good." Garmadon said as (Y/N) looked determined
"Let's do this." (Y/N) said as Garmadon nodded, as the duo ran off, Nya looked worried
"Stay safe." Nya whispered
"Stays in one spot? Stays in one spot?! How are we supposed to do that?." Jay asked
"Don't forget, we're ninja. Come on, you overgrown worm. Take the bait. Come and get me. Woah!." Kai yelled running through the city until he reaches Cole
"Nice run. Now I'll take it from here. Whoo-hoo!." He leaps over building and into a construction site, the Devourer reaches the top only to find Jay waiting
"Looking for me?." Jay asked as the Devourer lunges at him, only for the lightning ninja to jump down the elevator shaft, he uses his True Potential to fly up, the Devourer follows him, he then reaches the top floor where Zane was
"What took you so long?." Zane asked
"Save the humour Zane. Now's not the time." Jay said
"Instead of a fire escape, how about an ice escape! Zane yelled as they jump across as the Devourer breaks the site behind it, the duo land on a ice slide
"Haha! Nice one Zane." Jay laughed as they skated across the slide, they fly off the end as the Devourer opens up wide
"No! No!." Jay yelled
"Now!." Kai yelled as the Ultra Dragon saved them just in time
"You think it's working?." Jay asked
"We're about to find out." Kai said as they looked and saw the Devourer bit its own tail, they all cheer
"We did it! Now, where (Y/N) and Garmadon? He's not gonna hold for much longer." Cole asked
"Look!." Lloyd pointed at the sky which is engulfed with dark clouds, where both Garmadon and (Y/N) stand on top of a skyscraper
"Dad! (Y/N)!." Lloyd yelled
"You are the reason evil runs through my blood. You bit me once. Now feel what it's like to be bitten back by two!." Garmadon yelled as he unleash purple energy, and (Y/N)s fists turn purple
"This is for Wu!." (Y/N) yelled as they jump down
"Go get him Dad and (Y/N)." Lloyd said
"Vengeance will be ours!." Garmadon yelled as they destroy the Devourer and its venom spreads through the city, everyone cheers
"They did it!." Jay cheered
"No, we did it!." Cole cheers

Meanwhile the serpentine are still in the tomb
"Is that cheering?." Skalidor asked confused
"The Great Devourer must have been destroyed." Fangtom concluded
"Someone had to lead now." Skales mumbled

Back in the city, the ninja walk up to Ed and Edna
"Ooh, our little ninja." Edna said hugging Jay
"Hey, there you are, you big lug." Cole said petting the ultra dragon
"It's good to have you back." Cole smiled
"I don't see my dad." Lloyd said sadly as he looked around
"What about (Y/N)?." Nya asked sadly
"They should be around here somewhere." Kai said as Zane scanned the area
"Your analysis is incorrect. They are not here." Zane said
"Then our Golden Weapons are gone too. Well isn't that convenient." Cole remarked
"Look, footsteps." Lloyd pointed at one pair of footsteps
"I only sense one pair of footsteps, the question is whose the belong to." Zane said
"My guess, Garmadon." Kai crossed his arms
"I have a feeling you'll see your father again soon." Kai said looking at Lloyd who looked sad
"I know, but that's what I'm afraid of." Lloyd said
"Ah, Sensei Wu!." Cole spotted Wu
"Wow!." Nya gasped
"Ha! Would you look at that! He survived!." Jay laughed as he hugged Wu
"I can't tell you how glad I am to see you!." Wu said as he passed his pupils to pick up his teapot
"The Devourer left a bad taste in my mouth." Wu said drinking his tea
"Ah, much better. And still hot." Wu said as everyone laughs
"It's good to have you back uncle. But my father left and he took the Golden Weapons." Lloyd said
"Ah, very true. The ability of the weapon is truly great, but the ability to better oneself makes you limitless." Wu said
"I couldn't have said it any better myself." Jay smiled
"The pupils have become the masters." Wu said as he noticed one missing
"Wait? Where is (Y/N)?." Wu asked as the others looked around
"We don't know, he helped destroy the Devourer, maybe Garmadon took him and is trying to make him his apprentice." Cole suggested
"I don't know, (Y/N) would've put quite a fight." Kai shrugged
Before anyone could say anything something jumped on the back of Nya making her scream
"Nya?!." Kai yelled ready to fight but when he saw who they chuckled
"Got ya!." (Y/N) chuckled as he hopped of Nya, Nya blushed and was furious
"You jerk! You had me- I mean us worried!." Nya yelled as (Y/N) chuckled before seeing Wu
"Wu....
"(Y/N)....
The duo walked up and embraced each other
"I thought I lost you forever." (Y/N) cried as Wu hugged him
"You can't get rid of this old man that easily." Wu said
The duo separated as (Y/N) smiled
"I'm glad to see you again, dad." (Y/N) smiled at Wu
"And I'm glad get to see you too, son." Wu smiled back
Lloyd then hugged (Y/N)
"I thought dad took you." Lloyd said sadly
"Well, I thought he was, i remember seeing him take the weapons, and he approached me, but then he just left." (Y/N) explained
"He has the weapons, he will come back for you another day." Kai said crossing his arms
Lloyd then sighed
"Am I really gonna have to fight my father one day?." Lloyd asked
"One day. But today we can feel good that Ninjago is saved, for tomorrow you will train for the day. Good will finally face evil and a final outcome will be decided for all time." Wu explained
"Uh, but don't you worry. We're gonna teach you everything we know." Kai said smiling
"And make sure you're prepared for that fight." Jay said
"Because we all know, good will always stand up to evil." Cole said
"And ninja will always stand up for what is right." Zane said
"And I'll be by your side until that day comes, there's nothing in this world that can stop us." (Y/N) said as they all smiled
"Go Ninja! Go!." They all yelled as they jumped up throwing their fists in the air, all smiling
