He doesn't wait for my response. He's made it more than clear that he doesn't care what I think.

"What do you want me to handle,Mr Lewis?"I nearly yell over the sounds in the distance, hidden over the wall of towering buildings that make the city,

"A meeting the information is on my desk. Think of this as a initiation."he sounds like such a... jerk. And somehow he has the whole town charmed by him,if they knew that he was loaded with petty comebacks and a sense of entitlement. Wait he literally is entitled but whatever,

"Where are you going anyways?"I pull him back by his arm and chock at the density of muscle that makes it up. Nearly. Let me just clarify that I didn't chock,I nearly did.

"To partake in my duty. If I tell you handle something, just do it. We don't have a equal dynamic, okay?"
"That's unfair."

"I'll be back in thirty or so minutes. If you handle everything well,I might consider a gift."he tells me,ignoring my previous statement. He turns around and the look in his eyes is nobly cold, exhaustion if it were crowned. His lean figure clear through his dress shirt, his legs that travel for miles in black suit pants,

"Do you want me to call your driver?"I ask through the wind that washes through my hair and blinds me,

"No."he sighs and puts his golden watch into my palms before he walks off and slowly starts to run and jump onto a street lamp, with one hand and momentum he catapults himself onto the roof of build. Easily,he scales another and disappears further and further from my vision with each jump.

He's gone. This must be what it means to be a hero, isn't it?
I turn around myself and head up to his office so he can consider giving me a gift.

One by one I set up the meeting room and my heart rate adds with each pair of steps I hear next to it. Soon the door opens and I turn around. A man with short curly brown hair leads them. The head of Devergent Technology. The person Lewis wanted to collaborate with for the intelligence feature on the home security system.
Brent McConnell. He has striking blue eyes that remind me of glaciers, his skin is pale and the skin in his face baring more than a couple moles and freckles spread from each other. His bottom lip is far fuller than a the top,one single curl of hair pulled from the rest to stand elegantly on his face.

"Mr McConnell."I acknowledge him and he places his hands into his pockets,he stalks towards me.

"Kristian White? What are the odds?"Oh my goddess in heaven. He knows me. I don't know him.
This is my nightmare. This is my worst nightmare that I expected to happen but not like this.

I hold a tight smile on my face and take a step back, very un-casually bumping into a chair,it scrapes loudly against the floor as I hold it to stabilise myself. "I- I'm sorry but I don't quite remember who you are... I'm very sorry,Mr McConnell."

"You don't remember who I am?"he points at himself,a look of disbelief as well as slight amusement on his face. Should I know who he is? What do I do? What would Mr Lewis want me to do?

"Well,I know you're Mr McConnell, head of Devergent Technology. A computer genius, everyone knows who you are."Maybe if I flatter him he'll leave me alone. Everyone loves to be complimented. And he's no better as a laugh travels up from his throat and pinches the air. Its deep and has a dark element to it,

"Well,of course but our relationship is far more special and specific..."he does a one up of me and his hand reaches out to touch me,so close I can imagine what his fingers feel like against my skin. Then the atmosphere shakes as a new presence makes itself known by holding his hand back sharply,
