The lively voices of the Amazonians filled the air, their cheers echoing across the harbor as Y/N and Luffy made their way onto the massive serpent coiled in front of the Kuja ship.
“Y/N!!” The women of Amazon Lily called out, waving enthusiastically.
“Luffy!!” Another wave of cheers followed, their voices carrying over the waves.
“Weren’t you supposed to set sail tomorrow!?” one of them shouted, confusion evident in her tone.
“I haven’t even had the chance to touch you yet!” another lamented, her voice filled with exaggerated disappointment.
“I heard they’re not leaving the island the way we thought,” one of the women explained to her sisters. “They’re boarding a government ship with Lady Snake instead!”
On a smaller serpent’s back, Margaret who was standing near the two travelers, gave them a warm smile. “Later, guys! Thanks for all your help! Next time, bring your friends to visit!”
Y/N, sitting beside Luffy, scratched the back of his head, a wary expression crossing his face. “Ah, are you sure…? That might not be such a good idea…” The thought of a certain blonde-haired, love-sick cook instantly came to mind.
Margaret laughed heartily. “Ahaha, if they’re your friends, then they must be special, so it’s fine!”
A set of footsteps echoed against the stone dock, catching the attention of the crowd. Sweat Pea perked up, her expression brightening as she turned toward the approaching figure.
“Ah, is she here…?” she murmured, anticipation lacing her voice.
A sudden commotion broke the flow of conversation. The sound of something soft being kicked echoed across the dock, followed by the startled cries of two small creatures.
“Who was it… that left this… puppy… and baby seal in my way!?”
The words were spoken with an air of absolute authority. The assembled Amazonians froze as Hancock strode forward.
The unfortunate creatures she had kicked tumbled across the stone dock, whimpering as they scrambled to their feet. The onlookers gasped in admiration rather than concern, their awe for Hancock overshadowing everything else.
“Kyaaah! It’s Lady Snake!!” the Kuja warriors squealed in delight, their voices rising in unison. Some clutched their faces as if they might faint from witnessing her mere presence.
Immediately, a woman stepped forward, bowing deeply before Hancock. “M-My humblest apologies, Lady Hancock! I’ll take responsibility…” She swiftly scooped up the trembling animals, cradling them gently in her arms as she backed away.
Hancock barely spared her a glance. “Be more careful…” Her voice was cool, emotionless, and the simple command held the weight of an unspoken threat.
From atop the massive snake coiled around the ship, Luffy grinned down at her, completely unfazed by her dramatic entrance. He waved enthusiastically, his laughter ringing through the air. “Ohhh! Sorry about the rush! We wanna get going as soon as possible!”
Y/N let out a sigh and ran a hand through his hair. His brow furrowed as he watched Hancock’s unnecessary display of dominance. “You could’ve just gone around them, you know…?” His voice carried a dry, unimpressed edge, his sweat drop almost visible.
Hancock, who had been radiating her usual untouchable confidence, suddenly stiffened. Her fingers twitched slightly, her posture rigid as if bracing for impact. Slowly, her gaze flickered toward Y/N—but the moment their eyes met, she quickly averted her own, turning her head sharply to the side.
