"Alright, listen up, Pirates!!" one of the rowdy G-5 Marines barked, his voice booming across the snowy field, "You lot can have the tanker—we'll let you off easy for now! But don't get cocky! This black line right here?" he jabbed his brush dramatically toward the ground, dragging a messy streak of black paint across the earth. "It marks the boundary between Justice and Evil! So stay on your side, Straw Hat crew!! Cross this line, and you're asking for a fight!!"

The Marines of G-5 gave a rowdy cheer.

A few meters away, Luffy—wrapped in a winter coat, grinned broadly at a bound figure. "So you got arrested, Brownbeard? Man, that sucks... and right after we became friends too..." he said, smiling up with a kind of casual sympathy only Luffy could muster.

Brownbeard sat slumped in the snow, his massive body weighed down by the thick ropes around his arms and torso. His breath fogged in the air as he gave a resigned laugh. "Uhoho... yeah. Turns out there's still some poison in us... from those damn experiments. The marines said if we let 'em take us in, they'll give us treatment. It's better than dying like animals out here, y'know..."

"Oi, Straw Hat! Wind Demon!!" one of the G-5 Marines yelled, pointing frantically at Luffy and Y/N who had casually stepped right over the black line. "Didn't we just say not to cross that line!?"

Luffy huffed, scowling with irritation as he waved them off. "Yeah yeah, whatever. You guys just made up that dumb rule yourselves!"

Brownbeard exhaled slowly, looking up from where he sat. His eyes, worn and dull locked onto Y/N—who was now sitting quietly on a large rock. He was dressed for the harsh cold as well, with a light dusting of snow clung to his hair.

"Honestly..." Brownbeard muttered, his voice rough, "Going to prison feels like a better choice than being used like pawns by garbage like Caesar... All my crewmates... gone. Lost everything. But that wind you threw at Caesar..." he turned his bruised face toward Y/N, and his expression shifted into something genuine—grateful. "...It really meant something. Thank you."

Y/N's lips curved into a small smile.

Suddenly, a voice shrieked from the massive Marine vessel docked nearby.

"HE'S KILLING THEM!! YOU'VE GOT TO STOP HIM!!!"

Chopper's desperate voice sliced through the wind panic and fear wrapping around each word. The Straw Hats all jerked in alarm.

"What the hell's all this yelling about!?" Franky growled, a thick rope looped over his shoulder. His hands were already busy tightening bolts and adjusting panels along the mast. "If we were gonna use this tanker, someone should've told me! I wouldn't have fought right here if I'd known the damn thing had to be repaired!"

Brownbeard's eyes flicked toward the unconscious body slumped nearby—Caesar bloodied. "Tch... what a waste. All this destruction for him..."

"PULL!!" Franky bellowed as he and a few G-5 marines tugged together on the rigging, trying to wrestle the mast back into position.

"M-M!! M-M-Mue—MURR—!! HE'S A MURDERER!!" Chopper shouted, horror in every syllable.

"What's going on?" Y/N called, his brows furrowed as he stood up, brushing snow from his coat.

"It's Law!!" Chopper cried.

"Tra-guy...?" Luffy mumbled, his face twisting into confusion as he tried to make sense of it.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!" Brook shouted suddenly, drawing everyone's attention with a loud sob.

"What the hell is wrong with you now?!" Y/N, Luffy, and Sanji turned in unison toward the skeleton, all wearing exasperated concern.
