Luffy stood at the front of the ship, his wide grin shining as he pointed excitedly at the massive iron gates in the distance.

“Hey, Jinbei! I can already see the Gates of Justice! That was fast!”

The towering structures loomed ahead, their sheer size enough to make anyone feel insignificant in their presence. It was the final barrier standing between them and Marineford.

Y/N, however, wasn’t nearly as enthusiastic.
“I’d say it was slow…” He muttered, eyes narrowing. “Now the real problem—how the hell do we get through?”

“W-Wait It’s opening!!!” Luffy’s jaw practically hit the floor as his wide eyes fixated on the very thing they had just been agonizing over. The Gates of Justice were opening.

Jinbei’s head snapped up, his composed face shifting into one of pure disbelief. “What’s going on!?”

Gasps erupted from the deck as every ex-convict, turned their eyes toward the miracle unfolding before them.

“THE GATES OF JUSTICE ARE OPENING ON THEIR OWN!!!”

“THAT GUY SAID THE GATES WOULDN’T OPEN!!” One of the escapees shouted, pointing frantically toward the retreating Marine battleships.

Y/N’s brows furrowed, his mind racing. It must be someone at Marineford controlling it… but who—

A sudden movement in his peripheral vision caught his eye.

His gaze snapped to Buggy, who was standing at the ship’s edge, holding one hand up in a grandiose. His fingers twitched, making small, purposeful motions as if he was the one controlling the gates.

Realization slammed into the prisoners like a cannonball. “C-Captain Buggy!?”

“Could it be…?!”

Gasps of sheer reverence echoed across the ship. And thenthey all dropped to their knees, bowing.

“Are you doing this…!?”

“You really are a prophet of god!!!”

“CAPTAIN BUGGY, OUR SAVIOR!!”

Buggy’s mouth twisted into a wide, self-satisfied grin. “Well, well, well… I suppose some miracles are just beyond explanation.”

Luffy, still crouched at the front of the ship, turned so fast it was a miracle he didn’t snap his neck.

“REALLY!!? BUGGY!!?”

Before the madness could spiral further out of control, Y/N snapped at him. “OF COURSE IT’S NOT HIM, YOU MORON!!”

Before they could dwell on it further, Ivankov spoke up, his large, dramatic eyes glinting with concern.

“We’re through the gate! Now then, my real concern is—” His expression darkened slightly, his painted lips pursing. “—whether your and Ace’s father is going to show up here or not!!”

Luffy tilted his head, confusion evident. “Mine and Ace’s?”

Ivankov nodded, crossing his arms. “Well, I hardly think Dragon would sit back and do nothing while his own son is about to be executed.”

The name Dragon sent a visible jolt through the prisoners, some flinching at the mere mention of the Revolutionary Army’s infamous leader.

Luffy, on the other hand, simply let out an exaggerated “Ohhh, right!” as if he had just remembered something completely trivial.

“Ace and I don’t have the same dad! Ace’s father is Gold Roger! He’s never met him though. Kinda sucks, huh?”

There was a pause.
