That Boy Is Poison

The moment the realization dawned upon the guards, their fear overtook their duty. "Let's get outta here!!" one of them screamed, his voice laced with panic.

A ripple of chaos surged through their ranks as they turned tail and bolted in the opposite direction. Boots pounded against the scorching bridge, their desperate cries echoing in the oppressive heat. "We're gonna get caught up in the chief warden's poison...!"

But Luffy barely acknowledged them. His gaze remained fixed on the warden before him, brows furrowed in frustration.

"C'mon... it's just a little farther..." Luffy grumbled, his eyes flickering toward the deeper section of the level. His nose twitched as he caught another faint whiff of that irresistible scent, the one that had been guiding him forward. "I was so close to getting to the source of that great smell..."

Bon Clay, however, was anything but calm. His demeanor had been replaced with sheer terror.

"You two can't fight him!!" he shrieked, his voice rising an octave in desperation. "He's Impel Down's Chief Warden—Magellan!!! He's got the power of the Poison-Poison Fruit!!"

"Poison?!" Y/N repeated, a deep frown carving into his face.

Magellan took a slow, deliberate step forward, his every movement exuding an air of absolute authority. The very air around him seemed heavier, almost toxic. His gaze locked onto Y/N, sharp and unwavering.

"That is correct... Wind Demon Y/N." His voice was a low, guttural growl, brimming with menace. "Your intrusion into this impregnable prison has sullied my name as Chief Warden." His massive arms crossed over his chest, the venom on his skin bubbling ominously. "I know what you're after... I won't let you reach Portgas D. Ace."

Y/N's jaw tightened, his teeth grinding together as frustration flared inside him.

Magellan barely spared him another glance before shifting his attention to Luffy, his expression darkening.

"After this," he said, his tone dripping with finality, "we're going to have a very long discussion about how you two managed to get this far..."

Luffy, unwavering as ever, squared his shoulders. His face twisted in defiance as he shouted back, "I'll never tell you, even if i die!!!"

Bon Clay, still on the verge of losing his mind, grabbed Y/N's arm in a frantic grip, shaking him with urgency.

"Hurry—this way!!" he pleaded, his eyes darting toward a section of the bridge that led to another route. "You can't win against a man whose entire body is made of poison!! You can't even touch him! We have to go back to the Lake of Blood and try another way!" His voice trembled as he pointed desperately. "Forget the food—escaping to Level Five is more important!!"

But Y/N, still glaring at the warden, exhaled sharply. The air around him began to shift, invisible currents swirling and twisting at his feet. The heat around him wavered as the pressure from his rising power distorted the space.

A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

"Good thing..." he murmured, rolling his shoulders as the wind surged to life, wrapping around his arms, "...I don't need to touch him to beat him."

Magellan, unfazed, remained still for only a moment before shaking his head.

"That's futile..." His deep voice rumbled through the cavernous prison. "The stairs to Level Five are already being heavily guarded."

"The Head Guard and three Demon Beast Guards are blocking every path." Magellan's lips curled into a sinister grin. "And just to make sure... all of the exits from this floor have already been sealed."
