My Kitchen Sink

This is super old (Migration)

I think talking to you

Has made me think a lot more about love

Because I've never known butterflies like these before

It's like a whole migration through my chest

And while sometimes

I only get a letter or two

It means so much more to me

And I understand why people are ridiculous

And they giggle at the sound of people's names

And the smile at the thought of their voice

Because it's a lot how I'm feeling right now

I don't want to sleep

That's too many hours without talking to you

And it's not because I'm needy

It's because I want to

And you look at me with stars

And I think you hung them in the sky for me

And even though we're far apart

We watch out favorite movies

And we send each other doodles

And even a simple smile makes me float

And I'm not saying I'm in love with you

Not really

Not at all

I don't know you that well yet

But maybe someday

If I wish on every eyelash

On every coin in a fountain

On every shooting star passing by

On every rainbow and four leaf clover

Just maybe

I could be
