5th March 1640 CCY, Outskirts of Ragna, Bergmann Military Training Ground, Gra Valkas Empire
"Alright... So, as important as defending your VVIPs, you must know how to get them out of danger. Ah... haaaaa..." – Lt. Mako Reizei
Mako Reizei, vehicle specialist of the Japanese Imperial Guard, is standing in front of the group of Gra Valkas trainees in front of her. Behind her are 5 armored limousines and 5 escort SUVs gifted to the Gra Valkas Imperial Guard. All of these vehicles are brand new, made by the rebuilt Toyota Motomachi Assembly Plant, and delivered to a PSIA facility for outfitting.
"So, as the Empire still uses petroleum, these vehicles have been retrofitted with a V10 engine, twin turbo, and assisted by 240 AC synchronous electric motors, producing a combined 600 horsepower. This will give the 9 metric tonnes armored Limousine the 0 to 100km/h acceleration of 12 seconds..."
As she goes on, the usually timid and sleepy Mako suddenly becomes more technical with information about the cars they'll be driving. On the other side, soldiers of the base have finished installing a mock driving course with wooden structures and scaffolding. Instead of Ragna, they are modelled after the streets of Catalpas, where both the Japanese, Gra Valkas Imperial Family members, and their respective governments will attend the World Conference later this year.
As there has been an unsuccessful assassination attempt on both the Crown Prince and the Imperial Princess, both the KSD and PSIA are very concerned about the prospect of another attack, as their imperial family members are invited to the event. Therefore, both organizations have opted to work with each other, with the PSIA initiating the first contact.
"As for why these vehicles are so heavy... Hana... can you take over for me..." – Mako
"Of course... hey...? Haaa... she's standing asleep again. Saori, Yukari, please." – Hana
"Okay~ come here, Mako. Let's get you back in. We'll wake up once we need a demonstration~" – Saori
"Miss Saori~ let's use this stretcher! I haven't seen this model for a while! This is just like a Wehrmacht collapsible stretcher~!" – Yukari
"Alrighty then~" – Saori
The Gra Valkan Imperial Guards look at their driving instructor with worried eyes as she's being carried away by Saori and Yukari. Hana let out a little sigh and looked back at the guards.
"Ahem! Sorry to let you all see that. She's not in her element when she's not behind the wheel or at night. Now... look over to that limousine we have over there." – Hana
She directed the attention of all the trainees in front of her to one of the limousines parked in the empty field.
"Now, Jouko." – Hana
A shot was fired directly at the limousine from the side. It was aimed directly at the window of the driver's side. The shot kicked up dust and created sparks. It was an armor-piercing shell fired from an anti-tank rifle.
"It's your turn, Yukari." – Hana
"Okay~!" – Yukari
The cheerful explosive and intelligent expert flips a switch, and a big explosion engulfs the car. Any guards not startled by the surprise shot from before now physically jolted back from the explosion. As the flame disperses, the car turns on its engine and drives toward the obstacle course. The sight of the bright daytime running lights shining through the black smoke seems like something that came straight out of an action movie. It is running at a high speed, taking a tight corner. The Toyota Century expertly maneuvers around the course and then returns to where Hana is standing.
