{ - So, you guys really wanted me to update, so here you go! - }

I hung up the phone and tossed it to the passenger side. My blood was still boiling from the encounter on Ellen.

I've been on the show three times, including this one, and she has never acted like that before. I guess she wasn't happy with my lack of answers every time she asked about my love life.

The truth was, I had never had a girlfriend. It's sad, isn't it? Being nineteen years old and never having had a girlfriend? Sure, I've had plenty of opportunities to have one, but I don't date for the sake of dating. I date for love, and love only.

That's why when I found myself craving Bella's company, it scared me. I mean, when I get angry, I crave my friend's company all the time. But, Bella was the first one I thought of this time, and we had only met once.

I don't want to talk about this anymore, I thought.

Yes you do, a little voice told me.

No, I don't.

Hey, don't get mad at me. I'm you!

I turned left onto Blackburn court and slowed as I pulled up to #14.

It was a medium sized white paneled house with a grey shingled roof. It appeared to be two stories high, with a white front door and an intricately designed glass screen door. I turned into the driveway and saw a small garden next to the white wooden porch with some white and orange tulips growing in random clumps.

I opened up my car door and stepped out, running my hand through my hair and taking a deep breath. I noticed there weren't any other cars in the driveway besides mine, so I just assumed they were in the garage connected to the house.

I saw a light on upstairs, and looked at the window that was sticking out of the house. I realized it was one of those window beds that you can attach a couch or something to and sit on the windowsill.

I saw Bella lounging on the windowsill with a blanket draped around her shoulders and a book in her hands, and there at her feet was a vase with my flowers in it. I smiled to myself, and stepped up the stairs of the porch. Taking a deep breath, I lifted my arm and pressed the doorbell.

I didn't wait long. I fiddled with my car's key fob while I waited, and I clearly heard when the door was wrenched open.

Then, I heard the voice that was like coffee in the morning or tea before bed. Amazing, basically.

"Hi," Bella breathed, hugging her emerald green, soft-looking blanket tightly around her.

"Hello," I said, smiling. I heard her gasp, and then look away, blushing. I was chuckling on the inside.

"Come on in," she said, moving out of the doorway. I realized then how cold it was, and I shivered as I shrugged into the warm house.

I heard her close the door behind me, and she tossed her blanket on the recliner by the door and walked over to me.

"Can I take your coat?" she asked. I could tell she was forcing herself to try to be polite.

I chuckled, and shrugged my coat off my shoulders and she tugged it off my arms. Thoughts filled my mind and I quickly shook them from my head.

"Um," she looked around awkwardly after hanging up my coat, biting her lip and scratching the back of her neck. I remembered her doing that every time I asked her a personal question this morning.

"What? No tour?" I teased, looking at her. She smiled a little.

"Alright. Welcome to my humble abode. Follow me this way," she led me to the kitchen.

"This is where we make all the royal meals," she sneered. I bobbed my tongue out, and she giggled. I loved her giggle...

"Royal?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Only the best," she snickered, before leading me to the living room. I admired her 72-inch television and her vast electronic collection.

"My roommate and manager, Rosalie, has a brother," she explained when she caught me staring.

We went upstairs and went into the room at the end of the hall. Her bedroom.

There were two beds - I guess they share a room? I quickly saw where I was looking at earlier. She had a bag of Doritos leaned up against the step up to the windowsill, and a book lying face-down, book open. I also saw the vase with my flowers in it on the step, and when she saw me looking at it, she began to blush.

"I love when you blush," I murmured unthinkingly. She blushed even more.

We stared at each other for a minute, and then we both cleared our throats awkwardly and I sniffed, looking around the room. I ran my hand through my hair.

"You do that whenever you're nervous," Bella mused, pointing at my hand that was halfway through my hair. I stared at her.

"You didn't know? You always brush your hand through your hair when you're nervous or something's awkward."

"Hmm. No, I actually didn't notice that... what are you reading?" I asked, walking over to the windowsill. I saw Bella bite her lip in my peripheral, blushing, and I sighed on the inside.

"Um... I'm reading Heartstrings again." she admitted sheepishly, picking up the book and showing me the cover.

"Again? How many times have you read it?"

"This is the fifth time reading this one," she told me, sitting down on the windowsill. She patted the space beside her, and I sat down next to her.

"What part have you gotten to?" I asked, peeking over her arm to see what page she was on.

"I'm at the part when Courtney tells Mason what his sister has been doing to Serenity."

"When did you start reading?" I asked. That was pretty far into the book.

"Just this morning after meeting up with you. But I stopped for a while, or else I would probably be on the second book by now." she shrugged.

"Have you taken a reading test?"

"Like the ones that measure reading speed?"

"Yeah,"

"Oh, sure I have. My score was 120 words per minute," { - my real score irl - }

"Wow," I breathed, my eyes wide. 2 words a second?

"What about you?" she asked me, putting the book down.

"I got 98," I admitted.

"Hm," she said simply.

Suddenly, we heard the screen door slam shut.

"Rose is home from her date already?" Bella's wondered out loud. She stood quickly and I followed her downstairs.

Rosalie placed her keys on the counter and turned around. As soon as she saw me, her jaw dropped, and so did the small box she was holding.

"Oh. My. God."
