As I cooked the pancakes, I sprinkled some morsels into the wet batter before flipping the pancakes over.

I couldn't stop replaying last night in my mind; Bella was so incredibly beautiful. All I wanted was to be with her like that again.

The way we fit together like puzzle pieces... I loved her so much, and all the walls were down last night. Every feeling was set out on the table, and you could practically cut the love in the air with a knife.

I suddenly snapped back to reality and plated the chocolate chip pancakes just in time before they burned. I needed to get my head together; we didn't need another fire.

I thought about heading back to the set today to get Bella her flowers, since we had carelessly left them last night in our hurry. I grabbed the syrup from the cupboard before taking our plates stacked with pancakes up on a small wooden tray upstairs.

I walked into the room, where Bella was sitting up now and leaning back against the headboard. She had tucked the comforter under her armpits to keep it covering her chest. I couldn't help but frown slightly; she knew I loved her and her body. She shouldn't feel like she had to hide from me.

"Bella, I hope you like chocolate chip pancakes," I said, walking over. She paused the TV which I had just realized was playing the preview for Heartstrings. I smiled softly before handing her the tray.

"Yes, thank you," she replied with her heartwarming smile that I fell in love with.

I climbed into bed beside her and took my plate from the tray, drizzling the mouthwatering maple syrup over my pancakes.

"Edward?" She asked. I glanced over at her, and realization hit. She had mentioned before that she preferred butter pecan syrup over the maple, but my mind had spaced it and I had never picked it up the last time I went grocery shopping.

She seemed to notice the fact that I was about to apologize though, for she shook her head and smiled at me.

"It's okay, don't worry about it. I never said I didn't like maple, too."

Taking the syrup bottle from me after I was done, she coated her pancakes and began cutting them up with the edge of her fork.

I chuckled softly, watching her before I speared my fork into the center of my first pancake, flipped it over to make sure I got syrup on the bottom one, and then ate the pancake from the outside in.

"Edward, you're going to make a mess!" She scolded me, and I looked at her with a mouth full of pancake with syrup dribbling down my chin and my fork.

Shaking her head, she licked off her thumb and began wiping my face off.

I cringed and swallowed my food.

"Bella, I'm not a toddler. Stop it," I whined at her.

"Well you're sure eating like one."

I stuck my tongue out at her, causing her to giggle before licking my tongue playfully.

"Now you have cooties." I told her.

"Gross," she whined. "If I got cooties just from that, imagine the diseases I acquired last night."

Whoops. I slipped right back into my memories of the night before, and the worst part was it was easily noticeable.

I shifted uncomfortably, and I knew my face had turned red as I saw her eyes travel down - and not to my plate of pancakes.

Holy cow!

I turned Edward on. Edward Cullen!!

I couldn't help but grin to myself, but, not wanting him to know I was just as preoccupied in my reveries as he was, I quickly looked away and continued eating my pancakes peacefully.

I could see him pouting from the corner of my eye, but I was stubborn and refused to let him know how aware of him I was at the moment.

I suddenly felt his hand on my thigh, but as soon as I got chills, the phone rang.

Edward groaned and picked up his cell, looking at the caller ID. It must have been important, though, because he quickly got up and left the room.

Frowning to myself, I pressed play on the TV and kept eating my pancakes.

How in the hell was I getting a call from Tanya?

I didn't want to worry Bella, so I quickly stood up and walked out of the room.

I didn't want her to hear. I went downstairs and outside into my porch before I pressed answer.

"Hello?" I asked apprehensively, making sure I didn't sound angry in case it tipped her off the edge or something... if it even was Tanya.

"Hello, Mr. Cullen. This is officer Davey down at the Washington County Police Department. We confiscated Miss Denali's cell phone. She was found in her cell with it. Somehow she managed to hide it from police when she was taken into custody. She told us she was trying to contact you. She was hell-bent on speaking with you, but we managed to get it away from her and ask her exactly what she wanted to say."

I frowned deeply. This couldn't be good. How was Tanya able to sneak her cell phone past all of the cops? What if she could find a way to escape from jail, too?

"What did she want to say?" I asked. My voice sounded off even to myself; nervous, shaky.

Officer Davey paused before replying. "She said that she loved you, and that she was sorry. And..."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "And?"

"And that she would do whatever it takes to get you to forgive her. Her exact words were, 'whatever it takes. I'll get him to love me again.'"
