"Rose, calm -" I began, but was interrupted by Rose's squeals of delight.
"It's you! You're here!" she squealed, and I facepalmed, sighing annoyed.
"Hi. You must be Rosalie. I'm Edward Cullen," Edward said politely, shaking her hand.
"You know my name," she accused with a grin, and I groaned.
"Duh, you're my manager, Rose..." I sighed, and Rosalie pursed her lips.
"Oh yeah," she mumbled, picking up the bag she dropped.
"Do you want to go rehearse some lines?" I asked Edward as Rosalie went to put some groceries away.
"I don't have my script," he admitted.
"That's okay, I have two copies. Come on," I led him back up to my room, and bent down to retrieve a box from under my bed that had a floral pattern on it.
I took off the lid of the box and pulled out my two copies of the script for Heartstrings that were on top.
"Is that your script for Snow White and the Huntsman?" Edward asked, pointing to the script underneath. I nodded.
I put the lid back on the box and slid it back under my bed before standing up and handing Edward one of the scripts.
"What scene should we do?" I asked, flipping through the multiple pages.
"We could do the kiss scene," Edward suggested. I eyed him weirdly.
"I'm kidding," he told me, chuckling. I giggled.
"How about when Serenity first meets Mason?" I asked, flipping to one of the first few pages. Edward followed suit, and we prepared to get in our acting zone.
We both walked forward as instructed in the script, and I slammed into Edward, falling to the ground. Though I was supposed to do that, it still caused me whiplash.
"I'm so sorry, are you okay?" Edward asked, holding his arm out to help me up. I pretended to look up at him in disgust.
"Yeah, no, thanks. I'm good," I spat, rolling my eyes, "I don't talk to people who would date themselves if they could."
Edward had an amused smile on his lips as he read the next line. "With that confident attitude, you'd better not talk to yourself, then."
I rolled my eyes, and walked away to the other end of the room. Edward followed.
"Wait, I'm sorry, that was rude," he told me, staring at me intently.
"Doesn't surprise me. In fact, it's all but expected entirely."
"What's your name?" he asked, ignoring my remark.
"Nunya," I snapped.
"Nunya?" He looked at me oddly before asking, "what's your last name?"
"Bidness. Nunya Bidness." I walked away again, slamming into his shoulder on my way by. He followed me again.
"I'm serious, please, tell me your name."
I turned to face him, my eyes narrowing into slits.
"Serenity. Serenity Parker."
He smiled wistfully at me. "I'm Mason. Mason Peirce."
"I know," I retorted, crossing my arms over my chest.
"I suppose you would... all of the attention I get is sure to get around."
"Unbelievable!" I sighed, whirling around and walking away.
"It's not like I'm in control of it." he sighed, following me.
"You don't like it? Drop out of football." I suggested, continuing walking.
"I can't."
"Than I can't like you,"
"And scene!" Edward laughed, and I smiled at him. He gave me a high-five, and we flinched back. I felt electricity flood through my veins when we touched, and I stared awkwardly at Edward, who was staring awkwardly at me staring awkwardly at him.
Awkward-stare-ception.
Suddenly, I heard the door fly open and Rosalie walked in, flipping onto her bed.
"Really, you can't knock?" I asked, turning my gaze away from Edward. I saw him run his hand through his hair.
"It's my room," Rosalie stated, smirking.
I rolled my eyes, and walked over to my bay window to sit down again. Edward followed.
"Wanna play truth or dare?" Rosalie asked, jumping up from the bed.
"No, no way," Edward and I said simultaneously.
"Come on, it'll be fun," Rosalie whined.
"I seriously doubt that." Edward and I said at the same time again.
"Just get over here," Rosalie pointed to the beige carpeting.
"Fine," we sighed, and sat down on the floor in a tight circle.
"Okay, Bella, truth or dare?"
"Truth," I blurted unthinkingly.
"Is it true that you've never had a boyfriend?"
Edward looked at me, and I blushed profoundly. Rosalie wasn't supposed to tell anyone that.
"Yes," I said sheepishly, keeping my head down.
"Okay, your turn," Rosalie said.
"Rosalie, truth or dare?" I asked her.
"Dare," she said. I grinned evilly.
"Call Emmett and tell him that you had a great time and you can't wait to have kids with him."
"Bella," she whined.
"You have to do it," Edward sniggered.
Rosalie sighed in defeat and pulled her phone out of her pocket. She scrolled through her contacts and then flashed the phone up to her ear.
"Put it on speaker," I commanded, and she complied. It rang three times before it picked up.
"Hey, Rose," a friendly voice said on the other end.
"Hi, Emmett!" she cried, faking enthusiasm.
"What's up?"
"I just wanted to say that I had a great time tonight and I can't wait to have kids with you!"
"Ummm..."
Edward and I burst out laughing, and Rosalie shot daggers at us.
"Is that Edward I hear?" Emmett asked on the phone line, and Rose's eyes widened before she hung up the phone.
I wiped the tears in my eyes and Edward and I composed ourselves before Rosalie went again.
"Edward, truth or dare?"
"Dare,"
"I dare you to say honestly what you think of Bella."
Edward looked at me, and I could tell he was trying not to blush. He failed.
"I think she's a beautiful girl with a lot of talent," he mumbled, not meeting my eyes. I blushed scarlet, of course.
"That's enough truth or dare, I'm tired," I said, standing up.
"Yeah, I should probably go as well. I'll see you around, Bella." Edward smiled, and then walked out of the room.
I went into the bathroom to change into my pajamas, and hopped into bed, tuning out the nonstop questions from an overexcited Rosalie.
