BEADS OF SWEAT TRICKLED down her face as she dreamt that night. It wasn't the first time her dreams had drowned her in fear as she subconsciously weakly clawed her bed sheets before her heart beat slowed to an almost deathly stop. She was dreaming about him again, her eyes snapped open as she stared into the nothingness of her room, the dark shadows of her room barely illuminated by the soft light of her Christmas lights she had left up from the previous year.
Her sleepless eyes drooped close as she stared at her wall, clutching a silly teddy bear he had gotten her for her 15th birthday as a promise he would return but until then her nights would remain sleepless, her dreams would continue to fill her with despair and almost unnoticeable trace of tears would remain carved on her skin.
