(3rd person POV)

Within the tower of Babel at the center of the city of Orario the serene Goddess of beauty stared down at the feather hatted god before her with an unreadable expression.

The blond haired messenger god with a sly smile practically sowed on to his face waited patiently for the Goddess's response.

Her lips part slightly before falling into an unconcerned grin. "Was that all you wanted to tell me, Hermes?" her sweet voice ringing out across the room as she swept her long silver hair aside.

Hermes just gave an ambiguous shrug. "Just thought I'd preempt this with that," he said as he reached into a satchel at his side and took out a letter with a three legged crow stamped onto it.

A large boar-like man walked up to Hermes, taking the letter from his hands and presenting it to the goddess.

She took it, staring for a brief moment before setting it aside. "You seem to harbor strong feelings towards that creature...I never took you for the sentimental type." the goddess lampooned.

"I only want what's best for this city," Hermes deflected, raising his hands.

"A rather antagonistic approach for someone trying to keep the peace." Freya pushed onward.

"I've dealt with its type before, they aren't so quick to antagonize mortals."

"And if it were?"

Hermes took a breath. "Well then I wouldn't be standing before you." his smile deepened.

A silence descended upon the venue for a short while.

"Well then, I best get going. Things ought to be getting messy soon and I've got places to be." The messenger god waved goodbye to the goddess who sat on the throne.

The goddess's smile fell and she drew her attention back to the letter.

She leaned back into her throne. "How tiresome." The goddess's lament fell on deaf ears.

1000 years ago...The deities of the higher world, Tenkai, first descended upon the lower world, Genkai.

Gods and Goddesses of several pantheons directly affirmed their existence by descending and granted the mortals of the world the ability to fight back against the dungeon.

That was the truth for all but one race of people. Fianna the Goddess worshiped by the Prum race didn't descend. The reason is still unknown, but as time passed many people began to believe that perhaps the Goddess never existed in the first place.

This resulted in a decline for the Prum race as any motivation to fight back against oppression from other stronger races was quickly swept away. Being thought of as lesser, that became the norm for many Prums...

Weakness and cowardice.

It was for this reason that Finn Deimne did what he did. He refused this idea. He refused to accept the despair the rest of his race accepted.

He wanted to overturn it all.

He chose to overturn it all.

To overturn the one thousand years of despair and hopelessness that plagued the Prum race he decided to become a hero for his people.

He'd become the rally call. He'd become the hero and build the courage of the Prum race from the ground. For all the Prums living in Genkai and for all those that would come after. He'd restore the pride of his people. That was his reason for doing what he did. For pursuing strength in the dungeon city of Orario.
