The act of self harm is not beautiful, it's actually quite pathetic, sad. It's almost a way of taking the pain you hold inside you, and wearing it on your sleeve. Almost. Some people call it a way to distract yourself from the way you fell. They say the pain cancels out all emotions and you are in a state of bliss. Others say it's for attention, pity. But for me, it's just pain. Not a way to distract myself, not for attention. I do it so I can be as close to death as possible. To feel what my family felt.
