Deceitful (A Naruto Fanfic)

Ch.8 : Sakura

My eyes flew open as I heard the quiet thud of a door closing.

I narrowed my eyes.

If anyone thought they can sneak up on me they got another thing coming.

'Hn, the rain stopped,' I thought idly.

I heard a sigh from across the hall.

I smirked.

Whoever was trying to be a creeper wasn't doing a very good job.

I grabbed a kunai from my pouch and threw it towards the sound.

An 'Oof!' was heard and I got up to find Naruto with his collar stuck to the wall with what?

My kunai.

I saw some -okay I'm just telling myself that to feel better - actually a huge amount of blood on his shoulder.

"Naruto!" I exclaimed. "I'm so sorry! I didn't know it was you! I thought you were some creeper and-"

I was cut off.

"Oh, Sakura. Dear you really need to learn to see through deception." Naruto said with an evil smirk on his face.

"I knew you chakra signature wasn't the same and I knew you weren't actually Naruto." I answered.

"Impressive." The fake Naruto noted.

"The one thing I don't know is who you really are." I stated.

I must've looked braver than I felt.

I think my knees were shaking.

"All in good time," He took out the kunai and let out a grunt.

He suddenly raced behind me with a kunai of his own pressed against my neck.

His lips were at my ear. "Sakura-chan."

I shivered involountarily.

His voice seemed familiar, yet it was filled with so much menace I don't think I'd ever come in contact with some-one that evil.

The next thing I heard was the wind blowing.

With that, he vanished.

I sank to the floor and gripped my hair in frustration.

"Who the hell were you?!?" I screamed to no-one in particular.

And although Sakura couldn't hear it, mixed in with the wind was a sound.

The sound of someone's eerie laughter filled the air.

The person's laughter, although unrecognizable, sent a chill down everyone's spine who heard it.

Who could it be?

Well it was none other than...

An enemy of Sakura Haruno.
