Chapter 22

Reid's POV:

"Spence!?" I hear someone say as I turn around. Oh shit! I think to myself as I hop of Maeve and my bed to the bathroom that JJ just locked herself in.

"JJ!!" I scream as I'm pounding on the door

"Go away Spencer!" She yells, she hasn't called me Spencer for 4 years, 3 months, 19 days, 5 hours and 51 seconds.

"You should go!" I whisper shout to Maeve as she slips on her skirt and top and is out the door

"I can hear you!" JJ shouts in between sobs

"Jayge!" I shout

"Don't call me that!" She shout back

"Come on Jayge please open the door! Let me explain!"

"No! Spencer you were fucking another girl in our bed, Spencer our bed !"

"Jayge please!" I plead

"No Spencer I want you out of my house I never wanna see you again!" She yells and I can hear the sobs she's fighting back "You'll never know now" she almost whispers but I can hear her

"You'll never know the pain and misery I've been going through for the past 6 weeks to protect you "

"Protect me from what Jayge? Protect me from the fact that you've been fucking your no good wife beating ex husband?!" I raise my voice as I say the last point

"But I didn't" she says, her voice grouchy "I was raped by Will 5 times to protect you, he told me he'd kill you if I ever told" she replies, defeaten

"Jayge-" I start to say but she cuts me off

"Save it Spence!" She raises her voice now

"No Jayge I want to make this better!"

"How Spence? How?! How can you possibly make this situation better?! I have been going through a month and a half of pain and suffering for you while you've been fucking a random girl!!!" She yells

"Jayge I'm sorry!"

"Sorry doesn't cut it Spence!" She says I can see the tears forming in her eyes even though were on different sides of the door

"How can I make it up to you?"

"You can't" she replies in a cold tone

"Why not?"

"Because I can't love you if you've don't this Spence!" She raises her voice again

"Jayge what do you want me to do?!" I raise my voice this time

"Leave!" She yells

"I love you" I whisper. I've waited five minutes now, not saying anything just hearing her weeps wishing I was on the other side of that door. Holding her. I get up and go write a note.

And slip it under the door

"Spence?" I turn to see JJ with bloodshot eyes and the note in her hand "To protect you"

"You should've told me, us, the team and we would've sorted it"

"No, this was to be settled between me and him. Nobody to know" she whispers the last sentence

"Heck Jennifer you went through hell for me and now I'm breaking your heart, what have we become?"

"Broken" And with that I turned on the heel of my foot picked up my coat and go bag, was just about to turn the door knob when

"I'm pregnant"
