{Kate's Point of View}

Harry jogged around his side of the SUV and climbed in. He turned the key in the ignition and backed out of the parking space at the studio. His hair was messier now. It fell in his eyes and he kept pushing it back. His outfit from the late night show was replaced with skinny jeans and a Henley shirt under a loose fitting flannel.

"You're staring at me," he stifled a laugh.

"Sorry," I blushed. I found myself getting caught up in how he looked more often.

"What's on your mind?" His voice was quiet.

"Your performance on the show," I admitted.

"Did you like it?"

I couldn't think of the proper words to describe seeing Harry sing. I had heard One Direction before, obviously, but it was a completely new experience watching my boyfriend sing like that. I hadn't heard Harry sing since the car ride several days ago. Seeing him in his element in front of a crowd singing songs with his best friends was something I was happy to have witnessed. The performance had left me breathless.

"It was incredible. You were amazing, Harry. It was great seeing you like that."

"Hey," he said tentatively.

"Yeah?"

"The boys have a lot of questions, you know, about you. I knew you were nervous about having people talk to you without me there, so I asked a crewmember to keep an eye out to make sure no one approached you while backstage today. Well, the boys heard me ask the crewmember the favor. They want to know why we were acting strangely. They want to know what's going on."

"Oh," I looked out the window.

"I think we should tell them. Honestly, they're my best friends and I know they would never do anything to hurt me...or you. They care about you too, you know. And they would never say anything to cause negative rumors about us." Harry was rambling now.

"Harry," I whispered. "I'm scared."

I was still looking out the window when I felt his warm hand land on my thigh just above my knee. He didn't say anything for a few minutes, but I knew he heard me. He just drove in silence.

"I know that you're afraid, but I'm asking you to trust me."

His words entered my heart and I couldn't stop myself from uttering, "I trust you."

Harry drove from the studio to his townhouse. When we got there, I noticed unfamiliar cars parked along the street. I assumed they belonged to the other boys. Harry parked his SUV and opened my door for me.

"It's going to be okay," he assured me as we walked in the house.

I followed Harry into the living room where the boys were sprawled out on the sofas. Something was playing on TV that was causing Niall to howl with laughter. The coffee table was littered with drinks and a bowl of popcorn. They obviously had no trouble making themselves at home.

"Hey, guys." Harry walked around to the front of the sofas and nodded his head to get me to follow him. The boys gave their greetings to us. He reached down and took the remote from the coffee table and turned the TV off.

"What's going on, mate?" Louis asked.

"There's something we need to tell you." Harry looked at the ground nervously. I felt like I might get sick.
