Ch 16- Sharing Secrets

Yssa's POV

We were currently at a small diner. The food tastes really good.

I'm in the middle of eating my food when suddenly Nathan breathed heavily.

I shook my head, something's bothering Nathan.

"What's wrong Nate?"

"Huh? It's nothing."

"Tell me, I'm willing to help."

He let out a frustrated sigh.

"Do you know anything about Emerald Kingdom?" he asked.

It felt like someone stabbed me with a knife.

"Y-yes." I answered nervously.

He looked down, "I'm Prince Nathan of Ruby."

I was dumbfounded.

"Yssa?"

"S-so you're a royal. What's wrong with that?"

"It's not about that. It's about my father's order that I freaking need to follow." I can feel his intense anger through his voice.

"What is it?"

"To bring to him the missing princess and if I don't, he'll kill someone important to me."

I froze.

I'm scared.

But I need to help him.

He's one of my close friends.

"Nate, I also have something to confess..."

I lifted my hair and showed him the mark in my back.

His eyes wide in shock.

"Y-you're a royal?" he stuttered.

"Yes, I'm Princess Althea Brielle of the Emerald Kingdom."

And it's really messy, so it took me hours to finish cleaning.
