I remember watching the first 15-20 episodes of The Vampire Diaries with a friend for fun many years ago, so I faintly remember the characters :) I love how with this kind of fan-fiction you are serious about the vampires' personalities. They are not so overbearing in cliches, they're decent! I like how Damon is the type of classic vampire who's ruthless and mean, yet because he's a young man he does have like a seductive side to him~ As for your OC, Grace, she's a well-developed character in this story as she's taking her time in understanding what's going on in the storyline. Basically, your book is going at a nice pace :)
The whole story structure is well-written, dialogue lines are organized neatly and you can tell who is speaking~ The simple POV's were understandable, just a note of advice that to make sure your POV's in the future tie with what's happening in the story, and make sure they connect with future and past story details! ^^
