Chapter 41- "Can't you see I'm in love with you?!?"

I threw on a pair of black skinny jeans, a gray hoodie, and white converses.

I grabbed my black backpack and walked downstairs.

I walked into the kitchen and started to put my books in my bag.

"Are you sure you want to go today Tatum? You still are not cleared from your concussion" My mom sounded nervous.

"I'm fine mom. Plus I'll have Beth, Luke, Jake, and River" I said and slung my backpack over my shoulder.

She sighed "Alright. Call me if you want me to pick you up".

"Bye mom" I hugged her and ran outside.

I decided I needed to go to school, since I've missed so much, plus it's just Washington.

I walked down the hall and people stared and whispered things.

I ignored it and came to my locker and opened it up and shoved my books in.

I thought to what class I had first.

I pulled out my books and shut my locker door and jumped when a pair of arms wrapped around my waist and attacked me from behind.

I laughed "Hey Riv".

He spinned me around and smirked "Hey Green-Eyes. You know you still have a concussion" as he put his hand up to my forehead.

"I'm well aware" I said and he took his hand away, and he took my books.

"You know I can carry those".

"Yeah, but you broke your arm..." He pointed out.

I looked down at the blue cast on my forearm and sighed.

"We have kids shadowing today" He said.

"Is that so"? I asked..

"Yup" He said popping the 'p'.

"Hey lovebirds" Beth and Luke came up to us.

I glared at them.

"Nice to have you back, Tatum" Luke said.

I nodded "Thanks".

The bell rung.

"Well I got to go" I said and turned to River and said "I need my books".

He handed them to me and I walked away.

I walked to class and sat in the back.

My teacher took attendance then we began to do 'silent work'.

I heard giggles and looked to see Keira and her minions staring at me and whispering things.

I ignored it and continued to do my work.
