Chapter 57- Valedictorian and 6 month anniversary?
~5 months later~
"Miss Crawford" My principal Mrs. Douglas came in.
I looked up from my textbook and dropped my pencil on the desk.
"Mrs. Douglas, I think you may be mistaken-Tatum didn't do anything wrong today" My teacher.
Mrs. Douglas laughed "No she didn't. Tatum I was wondering if you would like to give the valedictorian speech at graduation"?
My eyes widened and I asked "I'm the valedictorian"?!?
She nodded and everyone in the class clapped.
Beth high fived me "Congrats"!
I nodded "Yeah sure, I'd love too".
Mrs. Douglas smiled "Great".
The bell rung and everyone stood up and grabbed their books and walked out.
"Tatum this is awesome! You've been wanting valedictorian since freshmen year"!
We walked to my locker and I put my books away.
Someone attacked me from behind and wrapped their arms around my waist and leaned forward makimg me lean forward a bit.
"Hows my valedictorian girlfriend"? River's voice said.
I laughed and turned around in his arms and he pressed his lips to mine.
Giving me a quick kiss and asked "What are you up to tonight"?
"Work on a speech, apprently".
He whined "But Green-eyes"!
Its been 5 months since Christmas and we're headed to Italy in a few months.
"Hey! Happy 6 months anniversary"! Beth and Luke said.
We both gave confused looks and raised an eyebrow.
"Wow......" Luke said.
"Today you've been dating for 6 months" Beth said in a duh tone.
"Really"? River asked.
"Have we really been together that long"? I asked.
They both face-palmed and nodded.
"Well then happy 6 month anniversary" River said.
"Same to you" I said and pecked his lips.
* * * * * * * * * * *
"Valedictorian Tatum, that's awesome" My mom said coming around the kitchen island and hugging me.
"Thanks" I said.
She went back to to cooking.
"Help! I have an emergency!" Lex ran down the stairs with two laptop's in her hands.
She set them on top of the island and said "Which color"?!
My mom and I both looked at the bridesmaid dresses, that were both pink......
"That one" My mom said pointing to the light pink dress.
Eli and Lex are actually getting married in September and I'm her maid of honor.
"Hey Tatum" Gwen said as she entered the kitchen "Happy 6th month anniversary".
"Its River and you's 6 month anniversary"? My mom asked.
"Apparently" I shrugged "Beth came up to me today and said that to us. It seems like we're the only ones that don't know about it...."
"And you guys aren't going out"? Gwen asked.
